Sold my enkeis.
gonna miss em but wanted a clean set as they were previously track wheels; SBC finish is a bit of a PITA as you can't do anything once the coating starts to peel.

Ordered a soon to be released set of wheels from Konig called hyperspec in 17x9 +40. They're 18 pounds a wheel. Will be swapping my contis over once they ship. Probably July from what I'm told.

Ordered couple odds and ends. Toda Ojisama
Clutch flywheel combo showed up, JXB Support Bearing Carrier Upgrade, and racecomp engineering sent me some subframe bushing inserts sometime later this week.

Was considering doing them all at once but might do them separately to get a feel for each part. Mainly curious how the carrier support will feel. Don't want to deal with the headache of one piece driveshafts I read about, and don't have $$ to drop on a carbon one.

Ojisama flywheel is 16 pounds for anyone curious. Probably the most "street friendly" lightweight flywheel option I can find. Added bonus they balance everything from the factory.

RCE Subframe bushings are in. Kind of shocked how much better the car drives on/off throttle. There is a lot less bucking feeling from driveline and in the corners the rear end is very stable. Could be a result of tired 180k km subframe bushings, either way big thumps up from RCE.

This was an impulse purchase, a friend was selling a ACE A250 header for a very good price so I jumped on it. Gave it a quick round of header paint I had in the garage. Might get it properly thermal coated later but this was easy.

Header swap is done. Stuck them both side by side for a comparison.

Full clutch install completed, along with new rear main seal. Wasn't leaking but car has 180k km so figured why not.

Toda Ojisama clutch/flywheel combo, flywheel is 16 pounds vs 20 stock. Very subtle but you can tell car revs up a bit more freely. Need to do the break in but have a track day Monday. Will try to get 500km at least on it before then and get some thoughts once I can hoon it.

I put the updated BG TOB in with their Teflon coated bearing cover, much tighter tolerances on the TOB compared to the very early build I had. The clutch feels great, pedal is slightly heavier but very manageable still. Feels closer to no spring in an OEM clutch(I have the Mtec spring installed)

The JXB unit?
Still waiting on it to ship, I was told upon ordering 10 days which would be by the end of the week. Will follow up once I get it installed.

I ask because I recently did this upgrade on my Audi and it was 100% worth it. I haven't seen any reviews for it on here yet though.

Had a quick lapping night opportunity yesterday for two hours at calabogie motorsports park, stadium track. Heat was killer(46c with humidity) but otherwise car ran like a top. Managed oil temps a bit. Was hitting 265f, short shifter here and there and managed throttle.

Pulled some dashcam footage

Was trying to data log for Zach at CSG but my proecu app kept dropping connection. Mid lap I'd be fiddling with the phone going off line

JXB carrier bearing installed on jack stands(ouch). A lift would make this install a breeze.

I need to live with this for a bit before I give meaningful input. After a Quick late night sprint the in gear initial input from throttle felt very smooth and direct and engaging clutch after shifts also felt smooth less clunky.

Edit no idea why the site flipped them upside down

One day I'll make it there. What is the asphalt surface like? It looks like there a lot of aggregate on the surface? You'd think that would make it slick.

The surface is pretty grippy. My understanding was that they mixed granite into the pour which has made the surface more abrasive/harder on tires as surface has worn.
There is plans to resurface the track likely 2026. Connection I know wants to connect them with whoever did surface at road America and get the same mix.
