New owner for over a week, looking for mod advice
Hey, how's everyone doing? Been around for awhile, been in and out, but finally took the plunge and wound up with a '25 Halo White Premium with Performance package.
Already did Driven Media LEDS, Charcoal filter removal+KN Filter, one of the bolts in the engine bay is stubborn, so the hood strut job is incomplete, did a Cusco drift button, Rexspeed Side Markers, F1 Third brake light, and getting a Mtec Clutch Spring installed, along with Verus throttle pedal spacer and Cusco's wide pedal for easier heel toe shifting. So far she's great, drove my Bronco earlier and gotten used to the aggressive clutch spring, so its like “this is too soft”, “im sitting too close but the pedals are too far if I scoot back”, “she's slower and more relaxed” "There's too much space", etc... Funny, you spend time with something and your perception of things changes. Over 500 miles on my new girl, just figured I'd turn to you experts on what to do for later on. One goal is a what I once saw as "Headers+Quiet exhaust" as I'm looking for something that I can cruise with minimal to no drone with, but wakes up when I get on it. Also curious about additional intake mods and whatever else can add a bit of power. Planning on doing a RTV soon, figure killer b pre-oil filter, and magnetic drain plug just for the sake of it, any other suggestions? Also going to save the short shifter, pitch brace, and stainless steel clutch/brake lines for fall, as well as slightly wider (225/40/18s) Conti or Pirelli's for when it gets colder out, unless 235s can fit without issue. Basically an Alt daily to the Bronco, this isn't my first rodeo with modding: https://www.mfcomics.net/post/50-000-mile-review https://www.mfcomics.net/post/where-have-i-been-1 But I want to do her right, and also figure out what area to address. So far she's a blast to drive, enjoying her although I'm now wondering if I want to do the clutch spring having gotten used to the aggressiveness, and also looking for feedback and advice on what else to consider. Don't mind if I'm prattling off a little too much, just winging this entry, just glad to be officially here and hope to contribute down the line. Thanks for taking a look and have a great day now! |

I wouldn't do much to it. My car was a slug when stock so I did the header and e85 tune but your car is already faster than mine. There's not much to be gained from the new Gen without boost.

So far, noticed the APEXi N1 Evo Extreme Catback Exhaust is said to be quiet when cruising but wakes up when on it, just wondering how that would do Paired with headers |

Do Corsa make exhausts for this gen? Had mine on the car since 2017 and never thought about changing it out, it sounds so good to this day. As for the magnetic drain plug, on the previous gen the oem plug was already magnetic so it's probably the same on this. Also apparently the stock brake lines are steel with rubber on top so would be no difference. For me personally the biggest differences came from transmission mods (bushings, inserts, supports etc) although they would obviously add a bit of NVH. A nice set of coilovers paired with corner balancing transformed the car as well (RCE Tarmac 2).

As for the transmission, I don't mind some nvh, so I was going to match my shift/ebrake boot with Red Billetworkz knob+Short Shifter, so what other parts would you suggest so I can add it to my wish list Are these the coilovers? Just double checking https://www.racecompengineering.com/...45408517488804 I'll consider it much later on, just for suspension really aiming for "better than stock" down the line, so hows the ride around town, highway and streets? |

Yep those are the coils. The ride is absolutely beautiful. I have mine dialed all the way to soft though and on RCE's ride height recommendations so YMMV. One thing I've learned is don't try to save on coilovers, spend a good amount of money there. It's very much a comfort/performance/cost - pick two type of situation.
