Just Finished my rear seat flat plate. Also used it to remount the battery here instead of the the trunk.
First the weights out of the way The CF plate 2.25lbs + the black carpet covers 1lb =3.25 -minus old carpeted rear seat delete + stock center carpet = 2.5lb Ill add in .25lbs for bolts so total gain is 1lb I could shorten the power cable a bit and lose some weight but I left it alone for now CF Plate ![]() Carpeted pieces - pet slept on adding hair weight haha ![]() -old Carpet pieces + stock piece ![]() NOW ONTO The PICS! ![]() ![]() Carpeted piece. Used Rivnuts into the stock side armrests for mounting. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Seat installed ![]() Used 2 small braces under the plate, plate is riveted to brace as you can see under battery

Aliexpress steering wheel mod $40
Whats up everyone been gone for about 2 years. Spent that time away from cars. Mainly focusing on Crypto mining rigs. But now im making a comeback!
My first mod back is Aliexpress steering wheel mod I ordered these for about $40 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003611999757.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002073638401.html Used this guys video on how to do it. I removed the horn/airbag and the steering wheel buttons. At the end used 3m double sided tape in the area near the steering wheel controls to pull, then tuck underneath Before ![]() During ![]() ![]() After! ![]()

It’s good to have you back! What are your plans to further lower the weight? You’ve done a lot already… maybe something radical like a K-swap?

Just added in the JDL catted/Resonated Front Pipe! This is about 5lbs heavier than my straight FP, but 2.5lbs lighter than stock. As a daily driver I could no longer bear the smell of being completely catless Current weight 2349.5 lbs. As long as I stay under 2370 which would be 400lbs less than stock ill be good. ![]() ![]()

Major Changes
So the past few weeks Ive been working on repainting my car. Literally used $5 a can Rustoleum Flat White. I neglected my car for 2 years so some of the dry carbon on the fenders ect had cracked other various cosmetic issues that would be costly to have entire car painted elsewhere. Im very happy with my rattle can results
Also added splitters, side skirts, spats. Painted anything matte black to a Gloss Black and 2k Clear and also added red pinstripe. And got some New Konig Hypergrams in Carbon w/lip 17x9 Last good old pic from 2 years ago ![]() NEW! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Back again after a 3 year hiatus!
Well the flat paint experiment didnt last long without a matte clearcoat. In the process of painting again a color called Blazing Bonfire. In the process of taking all the panels off I will be redoing a few areas of the car to strengthen chassis a bit to eliminate small rattles and some areas more OEM quality. Mostly from the Perrin Mounts. Weight will be added in a bit my goal is to stay under 2400lbs still! My First mod back is Injen Evolution Intake something I wanted to do 5 years ago. Always liked the straight shot into the throttle body. This added 3.25lbs over my stock/Perrin tube setup. ![]() ![]() Since I dont have a Front Crash Beam had to improvise the Ram air mounting using some leftover Alumunium and Rivnuts into the bumper base plate and side headlight mount ![]() All done! Engine bay will be getting recolored to match new color scheme. The strut bars are a hint of the new color

JDM Verus Underbody
First mods today was something I did last year was bought all the JDM underbody panels, Did coroplast plate in between them, also added Verus suspension covers
I never weighed the JDM panels before I installed them but researched their weight online. The Front panels are around 2.25lbs , the rear gas ones 1.5lbs each. So total 7.5 lbs gained. If someone has more accurate on a scale numbers please correct me. Also the Verus suspension covers and hardware comes in at 4.25lbs ![]() Done with aero mods ![]()

TRD Side skirts
Installed Gen 1 TRD side skirts today. I went with them over Gen 2 because I wanted to cut the front part that goes up the fender. Didnt fit exactly how I envisioned but Im still happy with them. Really Series 1 FRS or something like that were the side skirts I should have went with. Only added this weight becuase both side rear panels had damage I wanted to cover.
Added 5lbs ![]() ![]() ![]() also added back in the rear truck matt +2.5 lbs ![]() All the weight gained has me around 2383.25 LBS.

Revo Technica Trunk Brace
Installed the first step of my bracing experiment. This is the Revo Technica Trunk Brace. People may think these are just cheap ebay braces but they developed these for TOM's in Japan and sold at 5 times the price. https://www.86worx.com/toms-rear-body-brace.html
I like that their website lists the weights so you know what your getting into. So 6.5lbs for a combined rear strut brace and rear decklid brace isnt bad. https://www.revotechnica.com/frs_brz_braces.htm ![]() I wasnt sure how the decklid part would mount but it seems there are already factory mount studs for I dunno what from the factory ![]() ![]() I didnt want to deal with cutting up the stock trunk cover so there is 2.5lbs gained back. I used a light piece of coroplast for the base layer and a light trunk mat I had laying around to cut up. ![]() I cant drive yet as Im waiting on some idler pulleys from NST ( I Screwed up and overtorqued one causing it to seize) But hoping this eliminates some of the rear rattles I have from motor and transmission mounts. I am now at 2387.25 lbs |

Tom, FWIW my experience with NST wasn't good. The pulley's tore my belt to shreds and there was zero customer support. That was a long time ago and they were my first aftermarket purchase.
