I've been looking at Bentleys. You know you can get an '06-08 4 door 4wd with twin turbo w12 with around 70k miles for between $20-30k? I guess if something major breaks down you just sell for parts. But man, I hear the quality of those are pretty good. I would look good at the Wal-Mart parking lot in a Bentley.

Well now, Sapphireho, THAT is one of your better ideas -

Just slip your old, creaky, broken-down body, into that spacious, posh, leather interior and cruise downtown Caldwell in style and comfort.

I’ve heard they aren’t bad cars. Some typical Euro can electrical issues but that’s it.

Yea, it was just a passing thought. The articles I read say it's a good bet that an older $25k Bentley probably has about $20k of deferred maintenance, and regular maintenance is in the mid 4 figures, that's it nothing breaks.

I really want a new pickup, a 250 diesel, but $100k for a pickup is just crazy.

The last few years I would take every other Friday/Monday off for the months of April and May to use up the last of my vacation time as my company had a use it or lose it policy on your anniversary date.. That gave me four day weeks, and four day weekends every other week. (working M/T/W/Th then T/W/Th/Fr).

I loved it. However, I've found the retirement "every day off" is much preferable!

Might luck out and find one with records so you have an idea.

I am in the market for a truck too. Probably used at this point since pricing has been out of control since 2020. One of the diesel Colorado’s is high on my list. Most likely I will end up with one of my friend’s trucks, a 16’ 2500 Silverado. Not super high on my list but I know I would get it for a good deal and I know what he payed with GM family employee pricing. Downside is it is lifted on 35’s which I just don’t really care for.
