If your goal is to decrease potato prices, the best way is to make a surplus of potatoes in the food market. It's a great way to stem the runaway potato prices and reign in potatflation. Nobody wants to pay fair price for a potato when you can get substantially the same thing at a discount. I suppose a clever billionaire and their friends could find a way to abruptly increase the supply of potatoes at no cost to themselves to make it cheaper for them to acquire potatoes later, which they could then use to make a profit. Just gotta keep the potatoes looking at something else long enough to pull it off so they don't complain too loudly.

I have to share my awesome score. A guy I've become friends with asked me if I would like some yellow fin tuna. We often talk of sashimi and poke bowl recipes. His brother loves tuna fishing and often goes out on the big boats out of San Diego on long tuna hunts. Well, I of course will never say no to free sashimi grade fish, so I said "hell yes"!

So he calls me and says to meet at the dive bar. I'm expecting a little bit of fish, but no. He gives me 3 packages of fish totalling about 8 lbs. These are cleaned, butchered, and flash frozen on the boat! This has to be low on the fish because the fat content is awesome.

Best YF tuna I've ever had. Only problem is when I defrost one, I have to eat almost 3 lbs of tuna. Challenge accepted.

I'm not jealous of that at all. Not even a little bit.

Very nice!

I'm currently being good with lots of intermittent fasting. I had a very unpleasant surgery in January and once I lose a few more pounds I have another one coming up. But it should be a much easier recovery.

Aren't ALL surgeries unpleasant? -

Well, I hope you continue your recovery.

I've had 13 in my life. Still waiting for a pleasant one. Scheduling number 14 in a couple months.

I had a right hemicolectomy due to colon cancer back in 2006. Not fun but it was a walk in the park, (even with Necrotizing Fasciitis due to the incision opening up) when compared to my triple by-pass in 2007. That was a total nightmare! I had a pacemaker installed four weeks ago tomorrow and am still recovering from that.
Don’t get me started on my worst bike crash from back in 1989. I was knocked down in the hairpin, hit by one bike and run over by a second. Five broken ribs, three more ribs severely fractured, broken pelvis, huge fracture of the left lateral fan, chipped hip bone, internal injuries and on and on…
