Thank you! Looks consistent across the board. Must be track issues only.

Thanks for that. Newbie question: what is considered the safe "floor" for the oil pressure to drop to for a second or two?

It's not a simple answer. The minimum oil pressure depends on RPM. At idle it needs way less oil flow than at higher RPM.

My condolences to the Bergeron family. I am only just now learning about this man but he sounds like he was a truly genuine and amazing fellow who dedicated his life to engineering, solving complex issues and to helping people. All qualities I greatly respect and admire.

It is sad to lose someone so influential in our community and we all benefit from the contributions and help he gave so many.

The holes in our screen are larger. We based the hole diameter on the size of RTV pieces that we observed, and flow spec.

Blackstone oil analysis results. This was for oil that had been in the engine from ~2800 miles up to ~7200 miles on the clock, and included 6 track days at ~45 minutes of track time per track day. It does look like Subie dealer put 0w20 in instead of the 5w30 requested! Will ensure 5w30 in there for Watkins Glen and New Hampshire Motor Speedway... Blackstone doesn't seem concerned about wear metals and silicone at this stage. Will send another sample out after WGI.

So Killer B never brought a pan baffle or the baffle for the timing cover area to market?

IIRC the founder passed away back in July 2023, I don't know if the business has been kept open by others.

Right. I ordered the pickup strainer. Doubt the baffle will ever happen. Too bad cuz I liked the idea of just preventing all the slosh into the t-cover.

Good to know. Like I said, I just wasn't sure.
