I would really like one of these for maybe 28 seconds. Even so, I do like the looks of it.

Pretty much. Other than the spinning props and the tentacles (and the experience of assembling it) that's all you get for your $1,000 from what I can tell.

brought the car to the body shop finally for the actual damage repairs. They replaced the plastic panel and the metal bracket. Unfortunately in the process, they saw that the panel above the bracket was also quite dented. I'm not sure the right term for it, but it's part of the floor of the car, so not the frame/subframe, which is lucky.
But they said it wouldn't be an easy fix, they'd have to remove the exhaust, drive shaft, heat shielding, adhesives/welds, seats from inside the car, carpet, etc. to fix it especially with new welds and such. On top of that, because insurance has been a pain in the butt already, the guy said most likely if they submit a supplemental for it, insurance wouldn't pay me out for the wheels because I already asked for a direct payment on the estimate for them. Since it seems like just a cosmetic issue at this point I decided I'll probably just leave it. Who the F knows how these guys jacked up the car to steal the wheels. Seems like they jacked it up by the bracket, instead of the actual jackpoint just in front of it, and then somehow dropped the car onto the jack itself or something. Such a mess. Barely 1000 miles on the car too. Oh, and my new GRC club friends helped me find the new listing on Facebook Marketplace last night for my wheels. 95% sure it's them. Guy says "2 corolla gr 18inch wheels" with "95-100% tread", lol. Not only that but he has two other full sets of wheels listed. I already handed off the info to the sheriffs and I'm waiting to hear back from the detective if they'll try and go after the dude. It's a fake profile though, so they'd probably have to try and fake buy them, and on top of that it's not like the wheels have any identifiable features to tie them to me anyway.

Edit: Or better yet set up a meet and submit an anonymous tip that someone is fencing stolen goods there. More edit: this is only if the police are lazy and don't actually do anything.

No, no cast. There is a plate thing inside to keep it flat. I was referring to how they do a block on my arm. For several hours after your arm, usually about 12 to 18, has zero feeling and you can't move it.. You have to pick it up. Wore off pretty quick this time. Doesn't feel too bad. I have oxy, but decided on a couple vodka tonics instead.
