You don't even taste the walnuts. The red bell peppers have a subtle flavor and aren't spicy,rather more on the sweet side. At least that was how it tasted at the hotel in Amsterdam.

I didn’t really think it tasted like A1. I want to try it as a dipping sauce for some fried fish. I have some cod I caught earlier this year, bet it would go great with it.

Don't waste cod with brown sauce. Do this with a good malt vinegar.

Scottish chippies serve Fish 'n' chips with their own version of the brown sauce.. They'll ask if you want "salt and sauce " before wrapping up your supper in paper..
