Toyota seems to want to throw that engine into every performance car variant they make (GR Yaris, GR Corolla, Morizo edition Lexus LBX, rumored 3rd gen GR86) Kind of like how the 2UR-GSE V8 was in every high performance car that could fit a V8.

Akio Toyoda's favorite engines are the Rotary and the Boxer?

ehhh..........

I never had a Subaru engine until I had the 86 and as much as i liked it, its not my favorite engine configuration....and rotaries are an acquired taste.....

Great! Circling clear back to the suppository body lines.

Wow 400hp from that small of a motor? Yea that will be nice and reliable. That tiny motor will be under massive stress, the auto industry is not going in the correct direction, for owners anyway.

I don't understand the fascination with overworked small displacement engines, na or boosted. Maybe I'm getting old but give me some more unsustainable, less efficient cubic inches. I'll pay for extra gas.

Yes, I agree to a point! I knew I wouldn’t be riding motorcycles for much longer so in 2011 I ordered my last Sport bike, an MV Agusta F3 675 triple. I took delivery in June of 2012 as a 2013 model. It would spin up to 15,000 rpm. It was a remarkable piece of rolling art that handled like no other motorcycle I’ve ever ridden thanks to its counter rotating crankshaft. However, it would barely pull its own weight at anything under 6,000 rpm.
My Ducati 900 SS L twin would pull stumps from 2,000 rpm. On the tight twisty mountain roads down south like Deals Gap, Warwoman or even Richard Russel I much preferred riding my Ducati. Give me higher speed sweepers like some found on the Cherahala Skyway and the MV was my clear choice.

I once enjoyed smaller bikes as well. I had a few rd350s as a kid. Currently I ride a vfr1200f Honda and would never go back lol . The mv agustas are sexy though

I guess i am too and Dude i totally agree, i miss having a V8, i'm working on going back to my roots and getting another 60/70s car., i really miss my '72 Camaro RS, but, i will keep my FRS though cause i still do love it. Well where we're at today is the result of letting Eco Nazis run the show since '76 when the emissions era hit. I really could go on and on, but my fingers will hurt from all the typing.
