Boy, am I ever late to this party. This looks good. Price well enough for me to want to void my warranty. Hopefully I can have the cash together while there's still introductory pricing. Looks like a fantastic kit, Don. You guys bring good stuff to TX2K, hope to see you there next year.

I've been looking only thing within 500 miles are premiums. I need the limited. In white!

I'm not in a hurry. It will come eventually.

Dealer ordered it optioned out for me as that's what I wanted. Even got the subwoofer which will be installed at the dealer.

I got stuck in the rain storm from hell last night. I was quite suprised to see how well it handled in the rain.

BTW- It was super easy to get out of control sideways!

Nice. So I am excited to see what a few more psi will do. I really like the decision of the disco potato. How does the overall setup respond. Do you think the disco will be able to make the power that will make most people happy? Or do you think a larger turbo would better suit the chassis?

The GT28rs is great, can't wait to see how the engine responds in stock form... with a GT30r or GT35r.

Just consider it a 2L WRX; there were people that were happy with 16G (39-43lb) turbos, there were people very few people with GT28 turbos (price, I think), and then there was the crowd running big turbos. Personally, I find big turbos and their lack of transient response a real let down on a 2L engine. The 'tater is a good size turbo for this application.

Well If all goes well with the testing on the GT28. I'm expecting to get near 300whp. After that i'm moving on to a larger turbo and testing it with lower boost to see how driveability is. Soon my engine should be ready and we'll see if we can't break the transmission with about 28psi on a GTX30

28.......... wow. I'm guessing that would be about 450-500whp?

FWD SR20 have big issues with breaking transmissions, and I broke tons of transmissions with my twin-scroll setups. Too much torque would shear the gears. I guess 440wtq is too much for a lot of factory 2.0L transmissions, let alone FWD. So I put a 6 speed in from a Maxima. No issues. But I also learned to manage torque output with the hp goal in mind.

300whp on the GT28rs on 12-14psi will generate a decent heap of torque. But you can make 340whp on a GT30r with the same boost, or lower the boost by 2psi and make the same power with slightly less torque.

With the talk of the transmission being weak for big-power, I think the larger turbo on less psi would be a better option. But we really won't know until someone tries it. The GT30r turbos I have used have been pretty responsive, with progressive power output on low-boost. Didn't feel "laggy" beyond how most e-throttle setups are these days.

A larger turbo may hit good power goals without putting the clutch through the ringer, or damaging the transmission.

I also found that out with the stocker during my test drive. I feel certain there will be a few cars written off pretty quick once the power goes up and a dodgy situation presents itself. Skittish things
