Second generation Mercury Montclair, black, year unknown. Aston Martin, sparkly tree-frog green. A friend spotted it a day before and told me that he saw a green Lambo or Maserati. After a while, they begin to look the same. A neighbor has a late model Lexus LC500 that I see almost daily in the hood. It is her second one; her husband has a Jeep.

I know where you can get one. It too needs a little paint correction.

Chevy/GMC called it Forest Green. I painted my restomodded Jeep that color because, when I was growing up, my dad always had green Chevys.

I had two Buick 350 Gladiators years back. One I swapped in a 455 and an underdrive unit. That thing would go up a cliff.

I still have a NOS rhino chaser grill and badge from 1967. I had fun during my FSJ years.

I kinda miss my fsj. This one was a 71 J4000. It had the amc 304 and a t18 4spd. I put a throttle body injection system on it and axles from a later model J20 which gave me front disc brakes (instead of press and pray drum) and power steering.

I found the factory power steering and power brake units for both of mine. I had one fleet side and one step side. Step side had flat rear fenders. Here is the one on its way to Michigan when I sold it. Both had the T18. Both were Kaiser-Willys.

Are my eyes deceiving me, or did they relocate the battery to the "bed"?
