its hard to get any lower profile because it sits over the OEM antenna base which you have a bolt a wire to...the base is only so short so the shark fins are made so they don't look awkward

It actually looks smaller to me than this one. It doesn't spread out as far, but I prefer the VG shark fin. The Beat one just seems too dinky to me. :P

I currently have one on my 2010 Mazda 3 HB and I the paint and build quality are excellent and it flows with the car very well. IMO, it doesn't flow as well on the FR-S.

GREAT NEWS! I emailed Visual Garage about the upcoming meet and greet in N. Cal and he is giving us a discount off his already low pricing of $69 ($81 with S&H) use discount code VGMJ127 for $5 off so your price is $76 that includes S&H. This is available to anyone on the forum just email sales@visualgarage.com and they will send you an invoice that applies the discount. They aren't sure how long they can afford to offer the discount but I'll update this post when they opt to end the code.

I like it on my DGM better than the red personally but it still looks good. I think it would look really good in white black and rally blue

I notice the "RC car antenna" a lot less than this thing. I think I'd be OK with the short Perrin antenna as long as it was confirmed I'd have decrease in reception. No point in paying for mods that decrease functionality, right?

you can buy red pin-striping tape from a PepBoys are somewhere and just line it around each wheel. Just be sure to clean the surface first before applying and take your time.

I had done this to a set of wheels on my previous car and they held up well, through hand washing, running the car through car washes, etc. And it was definitely a cheaper alternative for getting the "time-attack" look. And it can help save your wheels from minor curb rash.

Sorry for delay in responding. It's pin striping tape from O'Reilly's / Kragen's cost around $8 with plenty tape left over. I was surprised at how well it sticks and is easy to repair if you bump a curb, just cut bad section out and retape.

As to installing use the edge toward the center of the wheel for a guide and apply an inch at a time and it will curve with the wheel. Do make sure the rim is clean. Also the tape attaches better over time and exposure to the sun.
