Cate Blanchette as a late middle-aged Lilith?
Jamie Lee Curtis as a super old Dr. Patricia Tannis.
Jack Black as CL4P-TP. Super worried about this one. It'll either be great or horrible.
No opinion on the chick they got for Tiny Tina yet.
(edit: Also WTF is up with her bunny ears? Did someone mix her up with Louise form Bob's Burgers?)
But the casting does get better from there. Worst to best listing.
They look like amateur cosplayers.

What will kill or make the movie is the plot and the writing.
And with the way Hollywood tries to pander to everyone and not offend anyone in alot of the movies nowadays makes me think the writing just isn't gonna be there.

The highlighted is what worries me. Borderlands, especially the original, are very crass and offensive. The original was super bleak and dry humored, which even Gearbox themselves have moved away from. I could see the movie following BL2/3's humor.

I am not pleased with the selection. Cate Blanchette probably would have been a perfect Lilith some 15-20 years ago. While I don't mind Kevin Hart, him as Roland just seems... like a joke. And an old ass Tannis is very strange. I'm most confused by the inclusion of Krieg and Tina. It would make the most sense of including Mordicai and Brick. But I get the feeling they are plucking ideas from multiple games and then making up their own little story similar to what was done with the Halo TV series.

Anyone else playing Helldivers 2? I know I am a console peasant, but I figured some here would be on it in PC and didn’t see it mentioned.

I've heard good things about it, and I do want to get it, but I would wait until the next patch when they address the AFK players cramming the servers.

"No! Sweet Liberty, NO!!!"

I'm planning on picking it up this weekend as I've seen a lot of positive things mentioned about it.

Gonna wait till alot of the bugs and the shitty servers get ironed out.
Not gamebreaking bugs just overloaded servers not even being able to connect. The mention afk's not getting auto kicked is a big part of that.

My gaming gang was thinking of picking up Helldivers 2 but we're waiting for the server and other issues to settle down.

so maybe next year some time.

honestly, with tghe updates to cyberpunk 2077, it's literally a new game, so i've been spending my time there, when i have the time.

Friend got me Helldivers.
Only played one night and am bored.

Unlocking shit is just like War Thunder.
Gameplay isn't like above but it's just another generic shoot things game. Not much you can really expand on there.

Fun but wait for it to go on sale and ONLY if you have friends to play it with.

Finished (well gave up) on Red Dead Redemption 2 at about 98% complete. The remaining tasks to get to 100% are just drudgery and will likely take me way too many hours.

Overall, it was a decent game but it doesn't match it's hype for me, at least not in single player campaign. Too much horse riding, way too easy to piss off NPCs, and completing some non-campaign tasks are nearly impossible without using nongame assets like maps.

You clearly didn't listen to to your Super Earth public service announcement did you? Thereby that is punishable to the fullest extent of the law!

Also I have not heard anything about spyware/malware with the game. But now I'm curious and shall google this. For liberty and for Super Earth!

Any kind of effective anti-cheat monitor is going to need to monitor peripheral hardware inputs to compare to game inputs. Then that needs to be sent to a server somewhere. Effectively the same thing spyware payloads do.

So I was looking into it and yeah apparently it's for anticheat but has caused peoples AV to throw false positives but even legit ones. Supposedly it's perfectly fine but a handful of people were losing their shit over it lol
