Just to clarify, street cars, right? Not race cars (Group cars and spec racers)?

I can't beat up on PD too much about what they give us. But for the people designing these VGT cars... wtf?

I think there is more body shape variation in NASCAR. How many different companies can put out the same long, low, swoopy coupe thing? Not that any VGT cars are beloved or widely-used but I recall BMW making one that was practically an M2, pretty cool. I also personally loved the Subaru one that was like a rabid station wagon. I'm sure that hasn't made it to GT7 though.

You should be able to search for me online in the lounges. Also the guy hosting the room is MARANELLO_MAN_ , you can send him a FR.

Was fun. Full-weight R32 at Interlagos really kills the front right tire. LOL

Lots of fun racing, glad you could come. Wicked fast! I enjoyed my "fake" 430 Scuderia. I was rocking the stock suspension haha.

I think everyone that's active in GT7 (on this forum) are PSN friends with me, so if interested at all let me know.
I’ll try to join if my schedule allows. Been pretty chaotic lately. I just got done working out of town for two weeks and will be working my second job after hours this week along with it being my grandmothers birthday this Thursday I’ll send out FR’s. My PSN is same as my screen name.

February Races

And then for February we're doing the following!

Spec Miata Schedule (Fuel and Tire will all be 1/1)

2/5/24 @ 8:15 PM
Road Atlanta
Qualify: 5 Minutes
Race: 2X 10 Laps

2/12/24 @ 8:15 PM
Blue Moon Infield A
Qualify: 5 Minutes
Race: 2X 10 Laps

2/19/24 @ 8:15 PM
Catalunya National
Qualify: 5 Minutes
Race: 2X 10 Laps

2/26/24 @ 8:15 PM
Tsukuba
Qualify: 5 Minutes
Race: 2X 10 Laps

We will also be using a Points System. No prize, just bragging rights.

The spec Miata is available in the Mazda dealer. 2022 ND Miata with the roll cage. See attached photos of the required parts to be installed. Everyone will have the same parts installed, same close ratio transmission and a STOCK LSD. There are two close ratio non-adjustable transmissions to pick from. You can choose either. In testing the longer ratio seemed to make more sense to me, but may not to someone else.

Of note, my buddy that "made" this build used the High Lift Camshaft S, which is unavailable if you're below Level 50. If anyone that wants to participate in these races isn't Level 50 you can vary your build to get to the same power figures.

Super interested in the Miata series.

Side note, Im straight up not having a good time at my current driver rating. B/High-C class drivers are tough, and even worse, being in SR-C lobbies. I have a "stay alive in the first laps" dogma. But it ends up hurting me because I lose time. But if I push, I run the risk of getting hit and spin out. Hard to get into a good rhythm when there's so much chaos all around.

It can be hard to "fall in" with a good group some times.

Practice the track if you need, don’t qualify, and start at the back. It will take the stress off of trying to do as well as your finishing position and you can just work on picking people off. I find I have way less issues this way.

Yup, this is a good thing to do in those groups. Let them ram each other off the track, and you take the positions without doing anything aside from treating it like a time attack.
