After the 75th time (OK I didn't really count) one of them said something followed by "in a PRIUS!" and cackled like they were drunk, I lost interest.

Apparently you're not normally allowed to have fun in a Prius (or a Prius being a fun car) and any kind of compliment must be have the caveat that "its a prius"

You put me on a track in any car, and I guarantee you I'll have fun with it. Having a car that is a disaster on a track is nearly as fun as one that is totally dialed in. Just a different sort of fun.

I am about to cross 6,000 miles on my 2023 Prius that I got end of July and I have been very happy with it.
It actually has very good steering response and feel. I think that’s mostly attributed to the skinny tires, independent suspension, and the TNGA-C platform. On public roads it is fantastic, and pleasure to drive—not in terms of visceral satisfaction like the GR86, but in terms of comfort, easiness to drive, and good resistance to NVH. Very low amounts of body roll if any, and it turns in well making it fun to maneuver in the city. I’ve had significant seat time in 2012 Prius and 2016 Prius. The new one is a departure from those. Day and night difference with the night being on another planet. It’s a nicer car to drive than the Corolla Hatchback too.

So what happens if you... "take care of a lady" in a Prius? Is it automatically going to be bad sex?

We have a '23 in our fam plus an '11. New one lost quite a bit of practicality but it does drive a bit nicer and power is definitely pretty adequate now. Biggest gripe are the wide doorsills, strangely wide for an economy car...oh and the damn license plate bump on the front bumper

So if the first gen meme was
"My car is slow, it gets beat by minivans!" The second gen meme is "My car isnt fast enough, I cant outrun a PRIUS!!!" which one sounds more embarassing? |
