So is this it then? Nearly two months and no fix... Wondering how long it's worth checking to see if it's been fixed, without even an acknowledgement that Admins are even aware or trying? (to mods: of course thank you for your support, it's a shame any sort of fix is out of your hands)

So far, no issues opening subforums but I did get the DB error twice yesterday just opening the forum site.

I'm likely picking up my LYRIQ this weekend, and my 12 year journey with the FRS is ending. I planned on staying with the forum but it's slow death will likely mean I will eventually fade away.

This is pretty bad that the database hasn't been fixed yet. If I was a site sponsor I'd be unhappy that this problem hasn't been addressed.

It’s so sad to see the state of the forums these days… it used to be so a buzz once upon a time. Filled with new info, mods, opinions, arguments lol… I’ve been a member for so many years it feels like watching a beloved car die, crashes too many times, another blown motor what ever analogy you want insert. I know the 2nd gen is here now and that is taking most of the focus but the first gen is special (at least to me I owned 3) and I hope the knowledge here is at least preserved for future drivers. In fact I was going to buy a GR86 but I picked up an Integra Type S and so instead I plan on picking up another 1st gen 86/BRZ and building a more track focused car this time around…just waiting for prices to drop as people start to pick up the new gen.

I've belonged to a LOT of forums, going all the way back to the to BBS dial-up days in the '80s. Even ran a couple. As far as subject matter and just down right hanging out, this is by far the best. l've only met two members of this forum in IRL (and that was 12 years ago) but I feel like this is my "old car gang".

Now that I'm T+1 week as a non-FRS owner, I know as much as I'll miss the car, I'm going to miss the forum more. Which is why I keep coming back.
