I don’t remember the last time that I made a thread, because now anything that I think it’s wrong I just type “(Describe issue +Ft86 Forum)” and 9/10 times I find what I need. In most if those results, either humm, or you, you tcoat have been involved in the answers.

Lotsa this. And the value can't be understated as a lot of users will just find the info they're looking for and keep the page bookmarked as a resource. I had this issue with the motorcycle forum I"m on now. The bike hasnt' been made in almost a decade and wasn't the most popular bike ever (VFR800) so finding info on the VFRDIscussion forum is really nice. Last year the owner thought about closing the site but tons of people (myself included) came out of the wood work to make sure it stayed online. There's a wealth of knowledge there that should never go away. At the least it needs to be archived.

At least the twins are still made and we can still enjoy some activity here. I appreciate it a lot more than I can say.

Oh and it helps that we have a watercooler/offtopic section here. The bike forum doesn't have that and i think it'd help a lot there but I base that on what I see here.

Average temps shows at High 85, Low 68. Plus don’t forget humidity.

I’m cool w humidity. I actually love humidity. It’s way better than here… I feel like I’m frozen mummy. So damn dry & cold lol

I can tolerate heat more than cold.

I’ve lived in Okinawa Japan & Hawaii for several year. Both are pure humidity w heat!

I’ve went through JSDF boot camp in the middle of July w full gears hiking up several mile long also everyday. Boot camp itself was 3 weeks long & majority was outside. Of course, that was when I was still teenager.

Recent… in Aug & Sept visited my fam in Japan. It was mid 90’s w average humidity was 65%. Carrying +30 lbs child on one arm & carrying 15 lbs backpack on the back walked outside 6~8 hrs averaging 5 miles a day walk.

Now, cold… idc dry or wet, I ain’t moving from my kotatsu! I’m staying inside, don’t wanna get near outside.

The humidity in NW Georgia was hovering around 25% for most of the week, and I was miserable. I told MomHawk you know you've been a Southern Boy all your life when your body complains because the humidity is low.

Here in Idaho, once it gets cold, it gets real dry. Nose and throat are awful in the morning.

Just yesterday ordered a very large humidifier from amazon. Stocking up on distilled water.

While it was 61F at 88% last night here.

Quick car question for the metallurgically inclined (or anyone I guess). If I order a new header and plan to get it ceramic coated by a 3rd party, should I get it sent to me first to inspect or try to work out a shipping triangle to cut out 2 legs of the trip (time, money)? Idk what I would even look for but if there's a glaring build issue I would not want to spend more money getting it coated first.

$500 skunk2 header if that matters.

Edit, ok that's not really a metallurgical question, nor really a car question, but I like the word so I left it there lol. I really just want another opinion on whether trying to work out the triangle for efficiency is likely to backfire.

What about TOMEI/HKS/Borla, and then get those coated. But yes, do inspect the welds before bringing it over to the shop.
I have seen those headers mentioned but to my understanding they may be way too loud.
