I just got a 20lb box of Alaskan halibut filets. Need to learn how to make a great batter.

One of the reasons while hunting for a shop fridge I am going full size for the extra freezer space.

No good deed goes unpunished. Well, I already knew that. It's just that lately I have been getting reminders. I hope that I am still around next year when there is a request for donations and I get to point out that my $1,000 (rounded up for expenses) went without so much as a simple thanks. I know someone who needs new tires and their dog needs a visit to the vet; the money would have been better spent. I don't expect anything in return for passing on my good fortune. I would like some indication that it helped out.

TIL I have:
1. Chronic complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament.
2. Horizontal longitudinal tear of the medial meniscus posterior root, horn and body.
3. Horizontal tear of the lateral meniscus anterior horn and body.
4. 1 cm chondral defect of the lateral femoral condyle.

This time in 2017 I was about to get surgery on my ACL on my left leg.

What kind of 'indication'? Dog showing gratitude by pooping on your carpet?

Well, that too, but no. I tend to give money directly to where I see it's needed, and is maximized, local organizations, etc.

Good for you. I have on occasion bought sandwiches etc for the guys I see rough sleeping outside my local tube station (Oxford Street). Funny story (read embarrassing), I decide one lunchtime to get them some fresh fruit, so bought bags of apples.. handed them out, only to be called back by one bloke, he handed them back to me, telling me that he couldn't eat them as he had no teeth..

That day I learned that I have a lot to learn!!
