Really enjoy the videos that you make! I’ve watched some of your older ones too. Like about the MCS coilovers.

Did some more oil pressure testing while back at Chuckwalla this past weekend. That video is below, along with some hot laps on the fast tires. Despite the sad baffle results, this car rips, sub 2 is possible with OEM shocks and just a few camber mods
Kazama baffle testing results: CVR CW hot lap, 2:00.81 CVR CCW hot lap, 2:00.97

Changed up the engine bay a little bit with some Perrin parts and did another 2 day track weekend with PCA at Spring Mountain Charleston Peak full track.
First time at Charleston Peak and it was probably the most difficult track I've ever had to learn. Several blind sections into esses and on/off camber turns making things very technical. Also, several 2nd gear turns which I hate...one of which I completely blew on this lap. Fastest lap of 2:38.17

New PB (CW) at the SoCal 86 Cup Chuckwalla rounds a couple weeks ago. CCW day was 2nd place in Unlimited class (went slower than previous visit though) and CW day was 1st place (new PB by few tenths). Getting really close to sub2 times at Chuckwalla now with just minimal upgrades (and fast tires :p ).
Didn't notice much difference testing 5W-40 weight oil, compared to 5W-30. CCW lap of 2:01.146 CW lap of 2:00.688

Did you feel a difference with the Perrin strut tower bar? I know people say "modern cars are so stiff blah blah" but I _felt_ a difference when I added one on my Golf R, and its shock towers are way closer to the cowl than the BRZ. I have no idea if it made the car faster, but it made the front end feel more precise, and just more enjoyable to drive.

Moroso accumulator installed along with a Canton 35-40psi pressure switch on an electric valve.
Back to Chuckwalla this weekend to test and see how it goes.

I'll be curious to see how this set up works. A couple of years ago, I had the Canton valve on my car. After a couple of months, the pressure switch would burn out..
From what I've seen, the drop in pressure in right handers is momentary. By the time the switch reacts, the pressure is coming back up anyway. On my Gen 1, I run my Accusump as a "dampener" with out a Pressure switch. |

Great content!
Do you have any before/after data with lowering springs? Are you running them with factory shocks? I figured that a sticky tire like A052 or RE71RS would really overdrive the factory shocks/springs but maybe that's not really the case. Trying to figure out a good setup for Time Trial. It's all point based though so to stay in class, adding Coilovers means adding weight or giving up A052/RE71RS for something like RT660. |

The RE71RS for sure overdrives the OEM shocks, but it works for the most part.

Forgot to post this, but here is the first round of testing with the Moroso oil accumulator:

Great information. I may have missed it in the video but what was your air pressure precharge? Canton recommends 7psi. I'd like to see if a higher precharge would provide a quicker recovery of the oil pressure.
