Comments on tires, pls.

Anybody see this before with their tires?

These cracks looks unsafe!

4,000km, with 10 autocross sessions.
Manufactured in '21, bought in '22, mounted in spring '23. Falken RT660.

Tks.

Pretty commonly reported problem with RT660 on autox and track Spacebook groups. Falken is aware and has said it isn't an issue. Still not great to see, especially with how much tires cost these days :/

Tks guys, I'll google some more, I sent Falken an email, guess I'll get what you guys just said.

Edit 2 mins later... Grassroots Motorsport has a shit load of hits on this... Miata & Ford forums too...

Guess it's like Subaru's that drink oil or DI ICE that add gas to oil... a feature.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. As you wear the tires the cracks/lines do go away.

RT660's.... yep, checks out, all ok. This is normal.

Crazy how that one is half blue. I'm used to only the edges getting blued sometimes on tires with a bunch of autox runs.

Yeah, mine did that. Same with a couple friends.

Mine also delaminated the inside edge though with almost half the tread still left

Totally expected for RT660. Keep an eye on it, but okay to drive on.
