Hey guys I need help with a code - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

My 15 BRZ has code P2109. I can’t figure out why. I tried a test throttle body and a test PCM. The code won’t clear with my OFT and the battery disconnected. It popped up after I had reinstalled the intake manifold. I’ve checked no wires are pinched. Thanks

I checked with Bubba and he says to disconnect the negative battery terminal, have a beer, after about 5 minutes reconnect the battery.

Instead of trying parts, try a scan tool to read live data. You need to know the throttle plate position.

One of the following conditions is met (1 trip detection logic):

The throttle position sensor opening angle when learning the fully-closed position is less than -4.02% or more than 4.02%.
When the throttle actuator current is off, the difference between the actual throttle position and the fully-closed position is less than 0.93%.

Yeah only one on is P2109. Throttle % on my scan tool is stuck at 5%

And you said you've tried a known good throttle body against the one currently in the car? If so, It's got to be damage on the engine harness somewhere.

Can’t 100% confirm if it is good considering i bought it used. I hate to spend the money on a brand new one considering I bought a grams throttle body for this thing not too long ago. But I won’t know for sure until I buy a new one 😕

Have you looked at the pins on the throttle body harness connector, make sure none are bent or missing?
