A major reason I leased mine is that I have a bad habit of trading cars in after 1.5 - 2 years. A 3 year lease makes it a little harder to trade in on a whim. The money factor at 2% was favorable to a loan as well. I also only drive it but maybe 7-8k miles a year. The other nice thing about a lease is that at the end you get the option to buy it out or turn it back in. If the car is worth a lot more than the residual at the end, then buy it and sell it. If it's worth a lot less, turn it in at little to no cost to you.

The cost with leasing is always having payments. It’s nice to have a car without them. Going on 16 years with no payments on my 04 WRX and 3 years with no payments on my 16 BRZ. Leasing does provide that new car smell/feel, but you pay for it.

Agreed, but you have to not be a chronic car buyer to get there.

Oh, I'm very aware of how much having car ADD costs me, but here we are still wanting a Cayman.
