HOAs are an unmitigated horror story. The only power trip should be to permanently dissolve the HOA.

Random Thoughts - Part III The Search for Spark (No Politics)
I had to stop by the bank & next door was a Subaru dealership, so for a shits & giggle, test drove it. It was… Subaru. This is a good part & bad part of Subaru. Every damn one of em (except BRZ) has a character of Subaru. Prob you’re thinking “Well duh, it’s Subaru, so of course it has a character of Subaru.” Example, Toyota Camry & Highlander has different interior, seating position, control, & cornering movement… but Subaru WRX & Ascent is same. Just driving a bigger WRX. Same goes w Solterra. I felt like I was driving bigger WRX (or smaller Forrester). It’s different was it didn’t make an engine/exhaust noise. Inside was fairly big & space. Base model was missing a lot of feature, which is very disappointing for +$40k car. Yeah there are other cons (like slow charging), but overall not bad. |

The first part of your response is, what I kind of resent from Subaru and Toyota. They have zero imagination when it comes to interiors. Actually,it applies to most manufacturers. To me, Mazda, has some of the best interiors for a car that costs less than $25K. I thought you had bought the Solterra (Saw the sold sign on the parking spot). Have you test driven the Ionic?

As for the photo, Solterra was park there, due to their charging station is in the "SOLD" section and they don't have anywhere else. My buddy asked how big is the key fob (why? IDK), so I took the photo. After I finished test driving & looking through the photos, I thought, I can troll my wife... it didn't even faze her

You have the invulnerable clip-board now. Great responsibility.
No old tires on the roof! Grass on the lawn - no mud! No rusty car bodies on cinder blocks in the mud! No visible blue tarps! DEMERITS!

Or, I just let it all go and someone gets annoyed enough to replace me.

Do that and they'll make your life hell once they have "someone who cares about the character and quality of our neighborhood" in the role again...

I'll give it a shot at least. Hopefully I can offload the job in a few years at most. Last guy was stuck with it for 10 years though...

Lost my 17mm deep impact socket and have been looking for 2 weeks. Finally caved and bought a new one tonight. I will get started working tomorrow and find my old one. Simply how it goes.
