I think this will be the first Japan trip I don't buy anything for the BRZ. I'm pretty much done with the build in terms of appearance stuff and the only thing I'd really want to change still is suspension eventually but I don't feel like I have to get that from Japan.

So what I guess I'm saying is since I won't be spending $800 on car parts shall I spend $20k and import a car?? lol.

Mostly kidding.... but tempting.

If you see the GROW kit (specifically the spoiler) for the GRC there, let me know

But yeah, my vote goes to $20k and importing a car.

Went to Cal and back, not San Jose this time. Went to my cabin in Lassen at Eagle lake. All my neighbors up there died. Worked our asses off to clean up and keep CalFire off our backs.

Times change.

Wasn't me, I was at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the last COMSCC event of the year! P2 in the time trial today, by about a tenth! I'm OK though as I clinched class T50 championship last event at Watkins Glen

My wife got a new job & that put more responsibility on my end. Which means, more driving time for me, which is fine… only con is the current gas price. It’s not fun filling Toyota Highlander about once a week ($55~$70 per fill up). Thinking about trading for an EV. My work has free charging station for all the employees, so while working I can charge it. KBB claims HL is worth $41k~$45k trade-in & I still own like $20k, so putting $21k~$25k for DP isn’t bad. Not planning to drive anywhere long or drive to vacation for minimum of 2 yrs (due to wife’s work). Even if I did, I can use my wife’s WRX.

Subaru is doing 0% APR for finance or $399/month for leasing (3hrs) on their Solterra (base model only). But I’m kinda scared buying Subaru’s first model. There’s always a weird issues. Hyundai Ioniq 5 is an interesting as well.

Any 2 cents?

The Hyundai and Kia offering(s) is reportedly very good. If we needed a third car they would be high on the list. The problem with them is I think they are built overseas and not eligible for as much tax credit as something domestic. I don't know much about that but I remember reading something a while ago.

Alternatively, pick up something used that's reliable, and cheap, then spend the leftover on a new BRZ
