I was gifted COVID a week after a booster or so... at least 12 days after the jab I had a 39.7° (103.4°) fever... On a business trip supposed to end with leisure activities, so I was in London. 15 days after the fever still testing positive. On the other hand, my wife joined me 11days after the jab and we spent a week in the same hotel room and she's managed to stay uninfected. Meanwhile I haven't been able to do my usual regimen so the arthritis in my back is acting up... Messed up food schedule has a whole slew of gut mess going on. Getting old sucks. Though that's still better than the alternative.
So... Hang in there.

So 'leisure activities' in London? Where abouts and what kinda activities?

Taking in the sights... Went up to Windsor, V&A museum, a play at the Globe, lazing around in the park... st pauls, westminster... And a long line of restaurants. Wife managed a good bit more as I was enjoying long naps in the hotel. Oh, also two false fire alarms and one real one... Fun climbing down from the 8th floor the day after you had a 39.7° fever...

Wife also spent a few days in Paris while I was working. Work is in Angel.
Best meal was The Shed by far. Place by the globe was good, ramen up the street from our hotel amazing... Dishoom decent. Forget what else we had.
Architecture is really what draws me, but London is such a lovely city and so very much to do. Some day I hope to get out to Wales and explore some castles, and Scotland to see the family castle (sad as it is) and the country...

Very good, lots and lots to do and see in London. Wales totally different.. and Scotland, can't recommend it enough.. Family castle? Still occupied by your family?

I studied in Edinburgh, loved the city, lived a stone's throw from the castle.. And we lived in Gloucestershire, a stone's throw from Wales.. Now live a stone's throw from London.. Theme, 'a stone's throw'.. a very British hobby..

Not occupied. Dean castle. Mostly just a fun thing to be able to say the area is just beautiful though, and so rich in (known-ish) history.

Lots of stones thrown in the UK over the years. It's a good measure.

Today I learned that Salmon makes up 40% of Scotland's total food export and that it's Britain's most valuable food export. However, top chefs are turning their backs on farmed salmon... Wonder where this will go....

TIL what it's like to experience a Jewish wedding. It was quite the ride and damn entertaining, too! There were some customs I wasn't used to, but over all, 9/10, would recommend.
