lol, I always want this car to sell in mass production

More cars = cheap used parts in the futuer + more aftermarket support

It means: production version coming out in 2012. May not look like this.

This isn't the production version. At least that's what I THINK it means.

Hoping that some interior shots will surface before October, after all that will be all that I would see as the driver. A good bucket seat with harness holes would be very sweet.
My hopes are:
- LSD is standard (we know how the Scion brand likes their options).
- Standard wheel size 16in (cheaper tires, and cheaper starting price of the car)
- Liftback (I would most likely get one even if it's not, but considering the comments about fitting extra wheels/tires from the presentation, chances of them making a liftback have increased, and that's icing on the cake).

Yes and No... I've seen some jacked up Supras so price isn't an issue. I think it's more based on demographics than price.

Not worried about the badge at all.. Or about getting flamed - but this gets me moved more than the original FT-86 Concept.. And I was not that impressed by the FT-86 II Concept. I can only hope because its a SCION.. It's cheaper :P

In all honesty, I feel the same. And I've seen all 3 concepts in person.

This car is the best and most moving design of all 3 concepts in my personal opinion.

WELL......... I love it..... But im in Australia so i dont need to look at it as a scion..... I would still take the MK I over this but its time to move on....... I still have a massive issue with the front fenders being so high and i guess BOLD... I would rather they be level with the bonnet...... Fortunately I've just got into an extremely well paying long term job and once Toyota release this in Australia i will be splashing out a whole lot of $$$ on getting correct offset, turbo if not optional (and even if it is ill be upgrading)... Locker Diff, defi gauges, Bride seats, HKS drift coilovers............... The list is endless....... Anything to make this a street drifting weapon even though stock im sure its gonna be more than fun.......Hurry up Toyota i am ready.......... LOL

Edit: And a ROLL CAGE for sure although turning this thing over may be a challenge being as low as ill have it hahaha

Hell, there are jacked up G37s out there too. So yes, there are tacky versions of almost every car out there. My point was that a large group of them might flock to the FR-S/FT-86 because it's more or less affordable. That's why Civics, tCs, xBs, etc, are typically such popular choices for them -- because the base vehicle is relatively cheap.

And even so, excluding magazines and the internet, how many xBs do we pass on the road "riced out" as opposed to stock? I'm just saying; those of us who care should buy the car because we genuinely like it and have been waiting for it to come out for the last 8 years. Forget the "ricers". They will always be around. Don't wish bad on the car just because of a branding issue. I'd like the think that most of the enthusiast looking forward to this car are better than that.

I agree money doesn't buy taste, but we all know most cheap drivers mod their cars cheaply which turns out to be autozoned or walmart "hooked up". Price will determine which demographic is able to afford, maintain, and purchase the vehicle.
