BRZ arrived!!

Got the call today that my car is in at North Park Subaru. Plan on picking it up tomorrow if work allows. Monday would be 6 months from order date. Not waiting until Monday.

Extreme 86...Any word from dealer on your car? It may be time to set up a flight for SC. Hope you get it soon.

I think all he needs is to have a covered garage or bay to do it, but he can also meet you at the VW Dealership (rod east, off 410 and broadway area) and do it there.

Warrantied his work, and application was flawless. He has done less-than-strickly-legal tint for me, but told me I was on my own for that. Though no big deal for me because I know a great place in Seguin to get my inspection done, and they don't care about tint.

Anyhow, I highly recommend him. He's friendly, professional, quick, and charges a great price. His name is Joe, and can be reached @ 210-381-1034. You can tell him Clint for Tormax sent ya.
If this is the same guy that did Rod East's cars about 2 years ago...he did my son's GTI and it was quality work. Do you know what brand of films he uses? (Rod East sold the dealership....now called Alamo Heights VW!...service dept. not the same IMHO. Last VW supplied oil change on my wife's CC they over torqued the drain plug - threads were not cross threaded but they were deformed and had to replace it with a new magnetic plug from AZone - have had other issues as well...I am a longtime customer, too.)

Hey, welcome to the ft86 forum and S.A. group! Try to sell your car outright first rather than trading in!!! In most cases....you'll come out ahead that way! Trading does have the sales tax advantage but, if you take a hit on the trade allowance there may be little to no benefit to it. All depends on timing and hassle I guess. Been there done that both ways and prefer to sell outright myself.

Maybe the Fiesta Texas parking lot? ...if security doesn't kick us out. Rolling V formation? This sounds like we need to do a video shoot with a montage of BRZ/FR-S drive bys, meets, road trips, exhaust sounds, girls in bikinis, etc., all set to some jammin' music!!!! :happy0180: Vid would either be a successful Toyobaru tribute...or an amateur beer commercial maybe. Really though, I think we could do something like this and it would turn out well!! I'm in....when I get my BRZ!!!!

I don't know if ya'll got the email from Scion about the First Drive event they are having at the ATT Center on August 25th. Seems like a good place to get some frs/brz people together. Heres the link: http://frsfirstdrive.eventbrite.com/
I signed up for the noon to 1pm session.
Whoa...Stage 2...Awesome!!! Stock was pretty wild as it was. Yeah, wheel hop is what I did not like and no matter what tire I used, traction just wasn't there when you really stomped it off the line. I tried the Ingalls Stiffy Engine Torque Dampener for the wheel hop issue and it helped somewhat. Hey, that white was sick, too!! Sedan made it a sleeper car for sure.

I'd love to go to the FR-S drive (got the same notification email you did more than likely) but, have plans to be doing a BRZ cross country drive right about that point in time!!!!

Have my cell phone with me at all times and fully charged waiting for the dealer to call to confirm a solid delivery date. I've bugged them enough already so trying to be patient! Yep, after Monday, cost of flights will begin to increase! I will likely give them a call today!!! I need to know if this is a real deal or just an estimated date from Subaru...in other words, do they have a VIN # and a tracking # from the carrier delivering the car to the dealer from the port of entry? That, I would be able to believe and then make some definite flight plans for! Dealer said they would call when this would be the case. I'm thinking the ship with my car has just not arrived as yet.

Congrats on getting your car today!!!! Yippeeee.

@ScionFreeze
Went ahead and signed up for the FR-S drive same time as yours just in case I am in town on that day!

@TravBRZ
Called dealer....as I suspected, as soon as they receive the invoice and VIN# in their system they will have a firm delivery date! Still a waiting game.
Did you get your DGM Limited today, Trav??? If you want to back out of the deal I'll be glad to take that BRZ off your hands!

Picked up my BRZ today!!! Smoothest car delivery I have ever had. In and out in an hour. Recommend North Park Subaru and salesman Bob Marroquin.

The car lives up to everything I have read. I test drove an FRS about a month ago and my impression is the same. It has the RIGHT amount of power. Any less would not be good but the fun factor is there and I haven't even gotten it to anywhere near full potential.

BTW..thanks for the offer Extreme86 but I think she's a keeper.

Forgot to mention I got the extended warranty which I have never done before. 5yr/100k, 6yr/80k or 7yr/70k for 1115.00. I went with the 6yr/80k but whichever you choose is the same price. I have never done it before because I generally think they are just profit for the dealer but in this case a totally new car in the first year at that price I figured it was worth it.

@TravBRZ
Well, thought I'd give it a try, just in case you had second thoughts!!!

It's a keeper....Awesome! Sounds like you plan on making it a permanent part of your stable with the extended warranty. Enjoy the break-in period and beyond for the >4000 rpm fun! I bet that DGM is purty!!!

My DGM BRZ on 3 sisters

I took it out for a drive on 3 sisters yesterday. Here's a shot along the way. Can't wait to really ring it out but was lots of fun.
