The NSX felt really good to me, I just wasn't as fast as the GTR or RCF with it. I am sure I can gold with it if I tried. The Audi DTM car is a joke, it felt slow even on the straights even though it was fastest on the straights with it's DRS.

I tried quite a few cars. Can't remember which car I had my fastest lap on. I wanna say it was the R35, followed by the RC, then the new NSX, then the old NSX, and doing quite terribly, my CLK.

I have a love-hate relationship with Suzuka. hahaha.

I tried the CLK too and had no luck. It's usually one of my favorite cars to drive.

Suzuka can be rough, I always have trouble with not pushing the esses too hard, getting the entry to Dunlop right, and the second half of Spoon.

The CLK felt fast on the straights, but man, terrible understeer. That's why I didn't want to even try the F1 since I remember that car being even worse when it comes to understeering. Maybe I don't know how to drive mid-engine cars properly???

The corner I hate is the two off-cambered left turns before getting on the back straight. I know I lose so much time just in those two corners.

The GT500 cars have a lot of downforce compared to the CLK and F1. All the GT500's could easily take 130R flat, the CLK was a hell no.

That turn you are thinking of is Spoon. I can usually get the entry right but always mess up the second half and can't get on the throttle as early. Usually I start braking in at right before the access road on the right side and trail brake into the apex before going back to throttle, then brake again and get the car turned in for the second half. It's kinda like T1 except you don't have a little banking on the first part to help you so you have to be more careful.

Here's what I've seen from the top players.
Currently I have the ghost of the top player loaded to see his racing line and it exactly as mine. But the difference is how much he brakes.

With a ghost set at .7 seconds away, turns 1 and 2 are a trail-brake with going no lower than 3rd gear. S curves are were I find myself loosing those extra seconds. I tend to keep the car in 3rd and gently get off the throttle right before the turn and use the limits as much as I can, but the top player has an enormous difference in speed, but seems to be braking instead of just using throttle control. My best guess is that they are applying the brakes while on 75%-ish throttle in a very precise way.

Yes, it seems that the S curve section there is a slight left foot brake.

I use left foot to brake exclusively in most games, can't do it for shit IRL except in a go kart I use this in the esses.

How are you liking the DD setup now that you have had it for a little while?

I love the fact that I can fix steering mistakes a lot easier now. It is so precise and I feel more connected to the car. The brake takes a bit getting used to but I’m getting there. In other words, I spent $500, and I’m still slow AF.

I have used left foot braking in other tracks, high speed ring for example. I just couldn’t remember the term when I was explaining the suzuka track lol.

The only thing that I found with the brake is it is harder to modulate with less resistance but I have gotten pretty use to it. As long as it makes the experience more enjoyable it is worth it.

Lol, yeah, I try to left foot brake IRL every now and then, and I just end up snapping my neck forward.

For me, I know the top players are widening their gaps on the first corners and "Spoon" since I just can't get those right. Sometimes I got lucky with the first corner and got about half a second ahead of my ghost, only to just mess up badly somewhere else. LOL.

More sport lobby ranting. Got up to 3rd place for daily race B, and the 4th place guy cuts across on the last lap on the last corner to push me out into the grass. MF'er didn't get a penalty, and I highly doubt his SR dropped. But the race right after, I got 2nd place and had the fastest lap up until the last lap. Same clown was in this race too, but I pulled away from him on the first lap. lol. Anywho, that clean race bumped me back to A status for SR after falling down from S to B the days before due to idiots hitting me into other people.

I also got my GR Corolla practice time down to the 1.34s too. Unfortunately, I can never compete on the actual race days. So I won't be getting one for free.
