Guys, I know there isn’t an occupancy sensor in the driver seat. But, can the “Check SRS Airbag” light come on if say, the driver seat was wet. There’s airbag systems on the driver seat so if there was to be excess moisture, it could certainly cause a small malfunction.

Probably not the place to rant about this but I'm frustrated.
My older sister loves to do this volunteer work trips/long stays in India/Nepal where she helps at orphanages and stuff. We've always had a strained relationship because she bullied me when we were children. The past 10 years or so we've tried at points to work on the sibling relationship but it's frustrating because a majority of the time she only talks to me when she needs something, like computer type help or money help. Then she frequently gives me a guilt trip that I don't bother replying to her messages or calling her and how I talk to our parents and our brother a lot more so I can't use "I don't like talking on the phone" as an excuse. So today she calls again, makes a big deal of that, mentions how she's planning to move to Nepal again (she is currently in the US) and I haven't talked to her about it, the usual spiel. "Are we ever going to have a sibling relationship at this point?" etc. Then after 10 mins of this back and forth, she asks me if I'll consider supporting her monthly living costs, because she's going to rely on monetary support from people in the US (she usually does this when she goes there). Lemme just say the raising money for support thing isn't such an issue, she does usually do good work there with children and other people. But she asks me, I say I'm not sure, maybe in a year or so when I know how the current volunteer work has been going. Then she mentions how I haven't supported her before, and I say no, last time I gave you $300 by commissioning a painting (one of the things she does is painting by commission to support her work, another thing I don't mind) of my BRZ. (which by the way was a cool painting!) And she starts saying I'm getting pissed off about this for no reason when all I did was say that I had in fact supported her in the past by doing that. Then she basically hung up on me lol. I'm like, you literally made this phone convo how our relationship isn't good and part of it is you always ask favors of me, and then 3/4 into the convo you again ask me if I'll be giving you money and what can you do to get more money from me. I don't hate her but I feel like her efforts are always super half-assed and a lot of the time she expects favors and 2x as much efforts from me to make it work. And of course my parents also guilt-trip me about it (you won't always have us and someday it'll just be you, her, and your brother, etc.).

My older sister sounds a lot like yours, although mine was never helping kids in a foreign country, only helping herself when in a bind, which was constantly. The only truth I know about these situations, which BTW took a while to learn (well into my 40's) is I have no responsibility to support my sister financially. She's a grown adult and needed to act like one. Once I told her that she knew not to ask again. As you might suspect we were somewhat estranged after that. I didn't really want that outcome, but it is what it is.
Also,, don't allow others to bully/guilt you about it. I came to the conclusion that the guilt-trip was like a train ride. You can choose to get on or not, I chose not to. Good luck with it!

I agree with the above. You should feel obligated to help her, even if she is helping children in another country. Volunteers tend to figure out their finances before doing charitable work. If she really only calls you for help and not to even bother trying to have a sibling relationship, then she has no right to try to guilt trip you. It's a two way street, and the fact that she only calls you for help or money is pretty one way street to me. So my vote is no on supporting her.

![]() I also have a sister, that is 8 years younger than me. Now, she is 72 and we have had a strained relationship most of our lives. She has made several poor choices in her life (so, I believe). At the height (actually low point) of our relationship, put her (and me with a bottle of whisky - back in my drinking days) at a family gathering and everyone else would stand back and watch the sparks fly - ![]() Since I quit drinking and she has mellowed out, we get along ...... better. She lives in California and I live in Washington, which helps - ![]() We call each other on our birthdays and around the holidays and that's about it, as far as communication between us. So, what to do. My only advice is to not let her "trap" you. For example, my sister use to ask me for advice and when I would give it to her, she would close the trap door by telling me how THAT wouldn't work and how stupid I was for suggestion it. So, I just quit taking the bait and "shine on" (as my younger ex-hippie brother used to say), if asked. Hopefully, as you both grow older (and hopefully wiser), your relationship will improve. - |

The jet ski my buddy picked up for 100 bucks fired right up with a new battery and some fuel. Last tagged in 98’, it’s a 93’ that was ridden one summer.
Actually that is a lie. I replaced the battery, put in about 1/2 gallon of fuel. Couldn’t figure out why the fuel system wasn’t priming. Pulled pop off valve spring and gave it a little stretch. Still nothing. Tried to get to fuel shutoff valve. Had flashback to being 15. Turned fuel knob from “on” to “reserve.” Then it started right up
