I stopped looking at the Genesis time since I don't want to know. I had to redo it twice already to get back into gold.

Im so confused. Trying to put together a Fanatec bundle. The Bases are CSL DD, either the 5nm or 8nm which is basically just the adapter. But they're not compatible with PS5? Does the support come from the wheel or the base? Because there are multiple wheels compatible with PS5.

Other platforms: Compatibility with other platforms depends on the used steering wheel. For more information, please check the product page of the steering wheel you plan to use. Found this. So all this time Im trying to setup a really expensive bundle when I could've gotten much cheaper because at the end of the day, is all about the wheel. Fanatec does not test on PS5, but on PC, Im guessing they don't because of whatever deal they got or licensing.

for the Brands Hatch and Watkins Glenn TTs I got very close to Gold. But in both situations I just didn't have enough time to push over that threshold. Silver for both.
Valkyrie at RBR though, forget it. Struggled to get Silver. The weird characteristic you mentioned for the Valkyrie is traction related. In 3rd gear the tires are still spinning. For some reason it's harder to notice (than in 2nd gear) so if you shift at redline in 3rd while the tires are spinning you'll be way down in the rev range when 4th engages. I'm worried that the Valkyrie is going to pop up in most of the Hypercar races. The fun of those races were already questionable given the Vulcan and 918 Spider blew everything else away. Toss in the Valkyrie, which is an order of magnitude faster than the aforementioned cars, and it'll be worse.

Because I wanted a three pedal setup, so I went into a rabbit hole trying to customize and it kept saying the wheel base was not compatible. Then I would look at the GT DD, and the wheel base is exactly the same across the board, just with the fancy steering wheel licensed for Gran Turismo, hence why it is compatible with PS.

I think for the Valkyrie, I skipped 2nd and 3rd gears a lot, and just used the passing button to make up. Pretty hard to modulate the throttle to not just spin the tires. |

I was doing this for a while but I noticed it was faster to just go ahead and stay in the lower gear. I just said screw it and ran TC at 1. I got down to like a 19.2, I just struggle so much coming out of turn 3, I am losing a ton of time there.

That's definitely where the controller as an advantage, the overtake button. Although if I press the right stick at even the slightest angle, it moves the camera. LOL
