Just remember guys we can NOT go by the estimated mpg on the cluster.

It's cool that it reads higher now but we need to only go by hard math.

Based in my ride home last night I don't think I improved fuel economy as much as I wanted to.

I'll let this test run for a little then update the flash.

you were just reading my mind. I was just going to put the same thing in bold letters. Just putting the dash readings up as a reference so we can see how accurate the dash is compared to doing the real math.

All of this looks great. I live in Queens so Norwalk is a fairly short drive. Very tempting...lol. I'll be heading up to ICS Performance in Stamford next week with a buddy for some base dyno runs on the BRZ and some runs on his newly Revo tuned 2011 S4. Hmmm...my wallet will hate me very soon.

DAY 2 UPDATE: Okay so today was a short day for me and didnt drive much but i managed to put up about 30miles or so. Car still feels good and today i manage to travel at constant speed due to no traffic and broke another record according the meter on my dash.*(again we are not using the mpg on the dash to measure gas mileage on this test we are just using it as a reference)*. Average Trip Speed was 47.2mph....highest speed was 65.2mph with constant speeds of 55-60mph. highest RPM reached was 3263.8 with temps at 87.8f today.

41.5 avrg mpg according to dash.

99 miles driven so far since test

Very exciting stuff to read! I hope they come out with a automatic tune, but in Paddle Shift/Sport mode!

*Day 3 UPDATE* Today was a short day again. Unfortunately my job has me at a training for the weekend which is a bit closer than what i usually travel. But hopefully this test will be done by monday because tomorrow i have a bit of drive and i also have one on Monday. Average Speed was 45.7mph...Highest Speed was 67.1 with constant speeds of 55-60mph. Highest RPM was 3532.8 with a temp of 86F today. Getting Close to half a tank, another 30-40miles and i think ill be there, so ill post a pick of the meter and what mileage it is at when i get there. Stay Tuned!

I haven't seen anything anything close to 40mpg on my BRZ. Impressive results so far.

*Day 4 Update* Okay so today we finally reach the halfway mark of this test and tomorrow it will be probably be finished. With half a tank i reached 167.1 miles. I found a new parameter update on the Android Torque App that actually shows the fuel level in this car and this is not measured or calculated by the App this is what the odb2 is actually reading. I was a little skeptical at first so i decided to test it. Took my brothers car and checked the fuel level(checked on the most level ground i could find because if the car is at a slant the fuel will read higher)so his car read 51.4%. Took it to the pump and left the car running and the app running. As we were filling up the percent slowly started climbing. We only filled up 2 gallons and the car read 76.9 after which seemed on point when filling up only 2 gallons. Still a little skeptical but ill still use it. Today my average speed was 45.4 with the highest speed at 59.7(rained today) constant speeds of 50-55mph and highest RPM at 3471.8. Fuel meter shows 80.8 but i took a screenshot on a hill...but i went to the same flat spot and thats where 57.6% came from which seems pretty accurate. Todays temp was 84.2f

Yea i had coolant twice, i didnt notice.

halfway mark

Avrg MPG for the day according to dash

so what are your opinions? Are you guys hitting this much on half a tank? What are your thoughts?

I think after the test is done we will be at about 320 miles which if u divide by 9.005 will be 35.54 MPG mixed(better than mpgomatics automatic frs test which was 34.1 and they used cruise control). This is with constant speeds of 55mph and not to mention the temp has been about 85-93f. But who knows we might even get more so lets see what happens and ill keep everyone posted!

With mostly back or country road and highway driving, I usually get about 200 miles on half a tank, 400 for a full tank (13 gallon fill up).

If i wasnt stuck in traffic the first two days...and both times i was stuck in traffic for more than 15 mins i think i would have hit over 200miles on my half tank. also my traveling has been about 80% highway and about 20%city. Out of 167.1 miles i would say 40 miles are city. If i drive until i hit the E mark ill probably hit about 370-380 but i filled up once the gas light came on and i think ill hit 320-340 when the gas light comes back on
