What the AD08s?

I've been DD'ing them since I've gotten them, great tires. I DD them on my other car too.

Installed the homelink mirror the other day (no point is posting anything about it here) and the Impreza bumper protector (fold out one). They sell the proper BRZ one in Japan, cheapest I've seen has been ~$300 shipped. The impreza one is $55-60 bucks and is slightly too large for the trunk opening but it works fine.. I should post pics of that I guess.

Hi Dave,
I planning on the same wheel/tire combo as you. I have had RPF1's and AD08 on other cars and are very happy with them. The question that is spinning in my head is whether I should go 225's or 235. I will be my daily driver and I will use the car for track days with the same tires. I think about steering feel, weight of tires and how fast they heat up. What is your opinion?

Nice to see a fellow HT ITR refugee. Been a while! Your car looks great. I'm thinking about the same wheels on my SWP Limited.

I'd go 235s. Feel didn't get worse and the wider width is nice

So I wanted the fold out bumper protector that they sell in Japan for the car but could only find it for ~$300 on ebay.. wasn't going to pay that so I got this one instead for the impreza:

Doesn't fit perfect, but for ~$55-$60 (forgot exactly what it costs) it's well worth it! Loading tires, hockey gear, etc and not having to worry about the bumper getting scratched to hell is nice!

Speaking of loading the car.. I bought some 1997 Integra Type-R front lips from Honda recently and had them shipped over.. two boxes 72"x26"x6":

Think they fit?

Yep! Easily as it turns out!

Nice fit. The hydraulic struts look like they help out a ton. That is something that has always annoyed me about the 240. The trunk uses springs and has two arms that swing down, so it is a lot less spacious than it looks with the trunk open. I like the bumper guard too.

Yeah my other cars with trunks always had that problem. The BRZ setup is nice for that, considering how small the opening is it would really SUCK without the strut setup.

One for my ITR, the other one is for a friend's ITR. The ITR had a lot less ground clearance than the BRZ does (by ~1.5") and both cars in question are lowered, so both have scratched up lips. They are getting rare, both of these were ordered in a group of 5 from Japan (I requested mine through Honda Performance Development, who has the RacingLine problem my race car gets parts through). All 5 sold within days, I got the last two.

Who knows if anymore are left in a warehouse over there or not.

Dave, how do you rate the transmission in comparison to your ITR? I have been looking for a change to my current 350Z (clunky transmission). I drove a S2000 recently and the difference was just night and day. The manual transmission shifting is very very important to me in my next choice for a autox/track/dd car.
