I have no gripe with service writers. They do the bullshitting which allows me to do an honest days work and sleep at night. I'd rather do the work than sell the work. I don't clean possum shit either.

Service writing at some of these Florida dealerships is high pressure with a lot of turnover and burnout. I work in a smaller shop. Started as a part time retirement job but became a full-time torture rack. Keeps me moving though.

I didn't mind it for a while but a handful of bad apples ruined it for me to the point I wouldn't even talk to customers walking through the building. I'd just direct them to the poor service writer.

TIL a temp who quit last week claimed I treated him unfairly and poorly and he reported it to the temp agency.

Of course this is a lie so I called the temp agency to talk to them about it. He never talked to them about anything. Then I text him that they would be reaching out to him to talk to him about it which lead to another full meltdown over text. I was just trying to get my folding rulers back that he was issued and probably accidentally had on him on his way out. Those things are expensive and terminally on back order from the one company I have found that makes them.
