Lol wow. Yeah, not a big fan of curved screens myself, but glad it's working out for you.

Honestly, if I don't stand over it and look down I can't tell it's curved when sitting in front of it. The curve on these is very subtle.

Ironically, the 6900xt has a higher PSU requirement than a 7900xt or xtx lol which is why I'm leaning towards them to keep my little gold rated 750w alive. Though I guess I could get one and an better psu and still spend less than a 7900xtx.

Upgraded to 32GB of 3600Mhz RAM. Not because I really need to, but just cuz I'd been playing with the idea for a few months now.

Pondering whether a 5800x3d is worth it. For the stuff I do 20% gains are common I guess... Already on fast memory... Wasn't planning an upgrade this cycle but this is tempting.

If I were to upgrade from my 5600x, I'd do the 5800x3d, simply because it's way cheaper than going AM5. And it's performance is still very good compared to the 7000 series. It's probably what I will do if my 7900xtx ends up being bottle necked too much by my Ryzen 5.

I would say if your main focus on PC is gaming, the 5800X3D is a great choice if you're coming from a 5600 or lower tier 3-Series AMD CPU.

I just hope when that time comes the 5800X3D hasnt been discontinued for several years lol. Last time that happened to me the last viable chip from one generation was when i had a Phenom II X4 955 and wanted to get into a Phenom II X6 1100T before having to overhaul everything. Except by the time i was willing and ready to upgrade we were well into the Ryzen 3000 era (i went with a 2600X because it was near end of life and pricing was favorable for it) |

Not just gaming, but those are the places I care about performance... I have a 5600x and just about everything else is up to supporting the x3d (x570, x4 m2 drives, 32gb 3600@14/14/14/28 timing...) Even have enough cooling. Is it worth $300 though... Maybe.

Got my MSI Gaming Trio Classic 7900 XTX! I really did not think it would fit since NZXT says the max length of the H1v2 is 324mm. The MSI card is 325mm. Well, turns out, that's a conservative estimate because even then, there were still about 2-3mm of clearance! Card fits perfectly. Gonna download the latest drivers and test the card out and temps. I also need to stress test it since the minimum recommended PSU is 800W vs my 750W current. I'm sure I'll be fine with my 5600x, but yeah. I looks awesome!!

I realise this is late advice but....
There was a little bit of tech news about MSI drivers from non-MSI websites. Non MSI websites had dodgy/corrupted drivers. Take away was to only download from the MSI website.
