I learned very recently that my wife hates our new car's nanny gizmos such as blind spot warning thingy.. The car thinks that something has been spotted in my blind spot and decides to swerve/brake.. So effing annoying.. turned it off..

BTW, she hates driving.. She prefers the 'blue' car..

Shouldn't blind spot monitoring be imploring you to do the opposite of changing directions or speed?

Exactly, it's a weird thing.. red lights flash up on the dash, car tries to avoid the obstacle and it brakes..

I was trying to remember why I thought the apple-potato association was oddly appropriate, and it had something to do with the French word(s) for one of them. I just couldn't remember what it was.

Mystery solved.

Nope,. Wall Flowers ran off with the scruff down the block, Ned Nettles. Poor old Spaghetti was left with Linguine to play happy sauces...
