My true Subaru ownership process will be complete if I own three blocks at the same time right? Might hit you up next week.

I changed the air filter with an HKS one. Guarantee I got like 15 horsepower just like that and replaced the worn USDM door sill guards because they were all banged up with the JDM all plastic black ones. Too bad my old ones were cause I liked the metal lol.

A couple of years ago, my timing chain broke after #3 ingested something, then losing the intake rockers, which jammed and bent the cams, breaking the timing chain. No damage to piston and no bent valves. Go figure.

lol sounds about right

This longblock I have on a stand is my 3rd, I got it for free when I bought a transmission. It has a spun rod bearing from the J02 recall and I got it to rebuild the short block. Like I said, if it turns out you need anything shoot me a PM.

I watched their video:

I only mentioned the Donut video because it was a similar failure, zero influence on how I’ve built my engine which is OEM spec with header and tune.

Did a 320km drive across hills and valleys before finally ending at a recreational park beside a river.

Smeedia's knowledge is fairly shallow still, I would not take his word as gospel. Look back at his videos a couple years ago and you'll understand.
For someone who saying the engines are great, his content is punctuated by unintended failures and engine pulls on standard builds

I just accept the natural matte dirt finish that nature provides.
I mean...its a free "wrap" so why not.
