OTD Price for BRZ?
For you lucky few that have their BRZ sitting in the garage, how much did you pay OTD for your BRZ? Both premium and limited trims, manual transmission.

I can't understand why everyone is so obsessed with "Out the Door" pricing.
You can't make a direct comparison.. it's apples to oranges all the time. "Out the door" includes sales tax and dealer fees. These things will vary everywhere. You can't even compare with the same state because local sales tax can be different. Nearly everyone is paying MSRP for the BRZ... but that is where the similarities end. Some people have no sales tax and others have up to 9% or higher. Some poeple have trade in's that nullify portions of the sales tax. Sorry to snap at you about OTD pricing.. no insult intended.. I'm just sick of people always asking about OTD when it's not a good question to ask. The correct question is.. what price in relation to MSRP? then figure out your local sales tax and check your local dealer for their junk fees. |

The only thing you need to plan for is your local sales tax, maximum allowable dealer fees as mandated by your state, title registration fees for your state, and if you're trading something in, the dealer trade-in blue book for your car. If you are planning to finance the vehicle then you also need to add in consideration for your credit rating and lenders that you have access to. None of that is anything we can give you any data points on really. For reference, my Limited with no options except for the wheel locks is costing me $28,582 "out the door". That doesn't paint an accurate picture though, as I'm buying out-of-state, so TTL is my own responsibility that the dealer has no interaction with. That's exactly MSRP + 265 Dealer Fee. |

I paid list for my BRZ limited (whatever Subaru has on the web). I did not pay extra for paint protection or anything else.
Add in "normal" delivery and prep fees ($250-500?). Take off $500 for the Subaru coupon that I had (3 weeks prior to the BRZ I picked up a CPO outback, and they sent me a $500 coupon to use towards the purchase of any new Subaru). There was no dealer markup, or any other shenanigans with my purchase (Performance Subaru, Chapel Hill/Durham NC). Scott |
