It’s a kit from winglogic. Quite a bit more performance then what I have now. Will open up tuning upturns in the future. Right now I am too rear limited.

There's at least one fairly large ginger cat that is very territorial. It's pretty nuts.

Well. Two things.

Use deep baking sheets. Else the butter might seep out, drip, and start smoking the whole house.
Do not skip adding Malt powder. Better rise and color. This wouldn’t be as much of a problem if it wasn’t that I live in such a small town that those ingredients are a bit rare.

Autocorrect bit me on that last post lol.

I’ll be able to play around with different front end setups now. My other wing was pretty much maxed out for aero balance with just a 3” off the shelf splitter. Now I can experiment with different length splitters, end plates, adding dive planes, or diffusing the splitter which SCCA now allows in Max. I bought a quick release splitter mount so I can play around with setups at the track and compare them back to back in the same day.

I can do without the mice, but I love having birds in the yard. I am not a cat lover by nature, and people who feed (an do not neuter) feral cats simply create large breeding populations which obliterate my feathered friends.

A friend put into place a personal policy. He sets traps at night for feral cats and the ones he catches go to a no-kill shelter. He told his neighbors about it and promised that if he caught one of their cats he would use a three strikes rule. Assuming the cat was tagged he would release it. The third time he caught it, it would go the shelter.

Interestingly he caught maybe 4 ferals and a couple with collars, but his in-his-yard cat sightings dropped pretty dramatically. Apparently, the folks nearby who own cats decided to be less generous with "sharing" their cats with the whole neighborhood.

Fortunately there are a couple residents here who work on catching the ones who aren't neutered/spayed yet and bring them to humane society for that. But they can't always catch them all, and outside cats come in.

Plus I think the ginger one i mentioned yesterday is one of the males that may be constantly impregnating the unfixed females because they haven't been able to catch him, mostly just the babies once they're born and occasionally the mothers.

And like mentioned, there are multiple people who have massive chips on their shoulders to keep feeding the ferals, like they can't survive on their own. Most of those cats are already clearly fat.

They leave out food, box shelters, etc.

I'm like, are you gonna start leaving food and shelters out for the squirrels, raccoons now, coyotes if they come back, etc. I think some of these people:

1. Think cats are ONLY domesticated animals and can't survive on their own
2. Want pets but don't want the responsibility (makes sense given how many people at my complex leave their dog poop out even though we have tons of posts with dog poop bags and bins at every grass area).

For the male, I might use the Duffy approach. He was a crotchety bachelor who lived in a mobile home park. Immediately behind his space was a large irrigation canal. He too had a live trap. But his had a rope tied to it. When he caught something, anything, the trap and it’s occupant went into the canal for an hour.

Edit. Thinking about it I can’t imagine doing what he did. You can’t blame and punish something for doing what it is genetically programmed to do. That’s not to say they should be allowed to keep doing it.

I suggested that if he had such a problem with the animals, just shoot them in the head. He lived in a semi rural area and a single report from a .22 would be unnoticed.

I still think he was damaged.

I know/knew off local trappers that deal with skunks that way. Personally I couldn't do it like that.

When I was in my teens, my dad was a weekend dilettante cattle rancher. We had a problem with coyotes. During calving season coyotes would isolate a cow giving birth and harass her until she stepped on the calf and injured or killed it. Once she abandoned the calf, it was theirs. Hard to blame the coyotes. I thought it was pretty ingenious. I carried a 30.06 everywhere I went and killed every coyote I saw.

Decades later, an acquaintance down here whose family have ranched the Rio Grande Valley for generations told me the hot tip.

Donkeys.

Donkeys harbor a genetic hatred for all canines, but have a special place carved out for coyotes. Donkeys will kill any they can. I’m told they are quite good at it. Coyotes are hip to this and give donkeys a wide berth. Put a half dozen donkeys in with the cattle and coyotes will stay away. Another case of too soon old too late smart.

My wife and I saw “A Man Called Otto” Saturday. My recollection of Duffy is of him being similar to Tom Hank’s Otto character without the sweet side.

Reminds me of a time last summer when my neighbors went on an extended vacation. Before they left they set two traps in their side yard. They caught a crow in one trap and a racoon in the other trap. The next day, after the crow sent out a distressed call, several hundreds of crows descended on the area, making quite a racket, to try to free the crow. It looked like something out of the Hitchcock movie. I freed the crow and didn't reset the trap.

I then noticed the trapped racoon. I couldn't allow the racoon to starve to death so I freed it. I tried to open the door, when the racoon reminded me of how vicious they can be when trapped. I went and fetched a long stick to open the door. No, I didn't resent the trap.

THE END.
