I may get back to you to deal after hearing some user feedback and speaking with my engine shop.

I had the mod done years ago by my race shop, not the kit, but a custom version prior to the kit.
We built a forged internals block, and the mod was suggested as my HP goal was 450 to 550 HP.
Been tracking it for about 80,000 , (after tracking a stock motor for 100,00 km.)

No problems.

Did you increase the Rpm limit?

My tuner did. The mod was called a ROCKER BLOCKER, and was used in subbies (WRX).

I've used the similar fix over 25,000km with RPM limit at 8050. Been there many times.
