What sold me on the that mount was that the suction cup was backed with a low tack adhesive. That combination means that you can mount it on slightly contoured or slightly textured surfaces with out the mounting disk. Just make sure you clean the surface with IPA and you should be good.

Its been solid as a rock so far, the only time it came loose is when i had parked my car in the sun all day and the adhesive got all hot and the suction cup came off. I usually park in a structure or in the garage and when its covered there has been no issues.

Here is a video review of basically the same mount except this is for the larger 10" version, everything else is the same though

Down below is the link for the 7" version the 750 from Amazon which is Prime eligible. They are going quick though and are only down to 5 as of this posting

This one does NOT have any charging ports, or LED lights though, thats the 800 which is sold out.

Thanks! I just ordered the 900 to fit my Asus Transformer! I've spent so much money on toys for my car already.

How hard would it be to put it on the FRS? How would the audio controls work?

ScanTool OBDlink MX. It's pricey but non better for a Bluetooth OBD2 adaptor.

The developer of Torque has a nice breakdown of compatable adapters.

I just looked at this one, seems like a hell of a good piece. Fast data and it's easy to stash away.
