We had someone recently get a phish SMS and they didn't know for sure it was a phish despite not knowing who it was from, just because it correctly used their name and referred to our company.

Fortunately I'm not in security atm, so I just happened to see that asked in a public comms channel, lol.

Thoughts on this, Compared to RCE Yellow-B6?
It just caught my attention. Seems like no one else has installed them. Or at least I haven’t been able to find a documented instance.

I guess that a strain gauge jig built to standard dims is enough to validate the claim.

...or it could be bullshit exaggeration of what in reality is adjustment to spec.

If I was HKS, I'd be pissed because the lie negatively reflects on what appears to be a magnificent production process.

Anyone ever go through a mid life (I guess 1/3 life) career change?

The more I go on in this industry the more I keep thinking there's not enough that I do like about working in it to keep me invested in it.

I have to try to find my way around security controls to do my job... Everything is getting more and more ridiculously slow and process intensive. Jumpbox with three layers of auth and a 30min expiry to manage configurations... I lose my work... It's likely to be full of holes security knows nothing about soon because it's over the top "security".

Is it a career change or an industry change you are looking for?
