Bring a Trailer always indicates MSRP (if it's available) - they're the ones writing the ads.
I will say though that I find BaT rather fascinating. There are few other places where you can get such detailed pictures of exotic or unusual car that you're unlikely to see in the flesh. The comments section is ... interesting. There are some very knowledgeable people in there, some others have less added value. |

I wouldn't be surprised if it goes around MSRP, maybe above.
Mostly depends on the person's situation. With the way the market is now you need a car to wait for a new car. If you get into an accident and need a car fast, I know people willing to eat a few grand vs trying to figure out rentals or buying/selling a beater in the short term. |

If the car is mostly a toy that isn't needed for daily duty, then waiting makes sense as long as you have other toys to play with in the interim. And wow, look at all of those comments on the Bring a trailer listing. I would have never thought that commenting on auction listings was a thing. Guess some people have the time and enjoy it. |

Dealers find ways though. They'll claim that the car comes with a ceramic coating for paint protection worth thousands of dollars even though the car already has tons of evident swirl marks. I saw a new black BRZ at a dealer and the paint was absolutely marred already. They'll claim the car comes with a winter package, which usually just amounts to floor mats or something and it will be outrageously expensive. If I was buying a new car I'd get them to factory order it and make sure they won't try to up sell me on anything from there, because if it's on the showroom floor, they've found a way to mark it up. |

It's easy to pay MSRP in the US as well, same thing as up there, you have to be willing to wait.

i wouldn't say it's 'easy', really just 'possible'. depends a ton on the local vehicle market and how much the dealer values customer relationships over single sales.

I would have never thought that poker would be so fun to watch nor that millions would sit down and watch other people play video games, or youtube channels of popping pimples or mowing lawns would be huge hits. |

I've always owned it. Paying 2k over to have the car in Oct of 2021 was totally worth it.
Even better, I easily covered the markup I paid when the 2022 was traded in for a 2023, so while I may have theoretically tied up 2k extra up front, ultimately, I got that entire markup back. I should clarify: I did not post my 2022 BRZ for sale at a premium price. The high number was offered to me when I purchased my 2023. I would totally do it again presented the same scenario. Also, my 2023 was significantly under sticker. I'm totally an idiot for spending a vastly disproportionate amount of my income on car things. |
