Auto Salon Works: Opti Coat WRB BRZ

Subject: 2013 Subaru WRB BRZ

New Car Prep with Opti-Coat

Exterior
  • Wheels, wells, and tires cleaned with Zep Citrus, and Sonax FE with various brushes
  • Washed with CG Wash & Gloss and Zep
  • Emblems and gas tank filler cleaned with P21S
  • Autoscrubbed and clayed exterior, door sills, and windows then rewashed
  • Blow dryed
  • Under hood, doors, and trunk jambs were cleaned up
  • Correction with Megs D300 with MF Pads - Griots Orbital
  • Megs D301 with MF Pads - Griots Orbital
  • CG Black Light Hybrid with Uber Black pad - Griots Orbital
  • Door sills, headlights, talights, bumper lights, and exterior: Opti Coated
  • Tires and trim dressed

Interior
  • Cleaned door windows
  • Vacuumed drivers mat

Very nice. Did you do anything to the car besides wash it? I wanna opticoat mine myself but afraid I will be doing it wrong

Wash Car, dry it, then apply opticoat? and boom? done?

If you look at the original posters list of items done to car you will see for paint correction Meguiars D300 cutting compound listed along with microfiber pads followed up with D301 finishing/polishing compound and microifiber finishing pads were used.Finished up w/chemical Guys LSP.

I belive this may be my first drive to the Bay when I eventually pull the trigger and order me up a FR-S, wonderful job!

My process is about 9-12hrs depending on the car.

So gorgeous. I ordered my opticoat and a couple car wash tools/shampoos and what not.

Can't wait to do mine. Hopefully Ill see results. But even if its a crappy job, at least the paint is protected.
