This, you gotta drop some weight. 2-300lbs is doable. The AP spring kit loses 23lbs I believe. Keep that in mind. My car is AT and 2500lbs. I still have 100 to go.

Also, a 4.88 FD would help being it's a AT. The gearing is long in the AT. I'm putting a 5.29 in mine, which may or may not be overkill

Lightweight 17" wheels can definitely save you a good 10lbs (that's why everyone and their brothers have RPF1s). 19" seems like a weird choice for a track twin.

Shorter FD is a must on an auto toyobaru, the stock gearing is so tall it's ridiculous. 5th on the auto is taller than the MT's 6th.

Disks with aluminium bowls might save some weight and improve cooling, too. But BBKs are expensive. A shorter drive might help use more engine braking, too.

EDIT: just saw the rules with unlimited power mods... seems fairly biased towards FI engines to be honest.
An 86 isn't the right choice here. I'd look for something like a 944 turbo or maybe an older C4 vette with such rules. However, with your requirement for a -decent- automatic, you may want something more recent. I would have said a turbo solstice but those are > 250hp even stock. A DSG GTI is probably your best bet.

Regarding 944 turbo: If an original Autothority chip can be found and allowed under the rules, it will make it a different car. I don't recall the exact numbers, but it produces boost at 1,000 rpm or more below stock and adds HP and torque by a lot. I think those cars ran in D stock PCA club racing. The 944s had little chance against 911s, and since the rules were set largely by 911 jockeys, the chips weren't allowed.
