Sadly, component-level repair of consumer electronics is a dying art.

Yeah, it's funny how simple some fixes are too.

I really love it when I drive a half hour to spend another hour waiting for a computer to connect that doesn't eventually connect and then drive another half hour back to where I can get internet so I can tell the responsible party their sh1t is broke.

That sucks. I flew to Chicago and spent 4 days at a customer facility to tell them they had bad maintenance and had to help get them running again.

they still have bad maintenance

Oh, do I have some stories about flying out to places for stupid reasons. Mostly flying out to California (8+ hours), determining that it was someone else's issue in the first 2-3 hours working, then spending 4-8 hours proving it to the customer who didn't want to believe me, then helping the other company solve their issue for another 2 hours because by that point I knew more about what was happening than they did.

But today sucks because I had shit that needed to get done that is going to have to get done next week because the IT people stop caring at 3pm on Thursday.

I think I would be more mad about that.

lol it surprisingly wasn't. It was a private training facility in St. Charles. They got every add on and without daily checks and adjustments, which we specify in our manuals, it can be problematic. Plus we retrofitted our system into another manufacturers setup and it caused all kinds of issues.

Oh really? Do tell.

I think the price is going to hit about what he was asking and he has 100 shipping on there.

I've been watching it since before he bought it. I can't decide if I want to hold out for a decent one without the ceramic.

I personally don't know if I would spend the money again. I paid 800, I think, for my used nameless header. It is coated inside and out.
