Changed mine today. Easy job. The usual door panel remove plus three screws that hold the speaker in. HUGE improvement.

Are you guys putting 2nd gen door checks into your 1st gens, or just replacing them with another factory part?

The part number on the one I just bought from my local Toyota dealer is SU003-07368. If there's a later one I'd like to know. I don't know how long my new one will hold up but I'd even settle for installing a new one every 6 months if I had to. It's worth it. I think I read that it can be very hard to slide the detentes through the channel when shimming the old ones. I'm not sure you'd have to do that, though.

Going to be a guinea pig and see how the 2nd gen fit. Bought them from here for less than $62 shipped https://www.subarupartscorp.com/p/10...1124CC000.html

IT looks like Toyota and Subaru have a different part number for the same part.

Did the door stay swap with the GT86 door stop yesterday super easy 30-minute install if you don't know what you're doing.
For reference, my garage is on a very minimal decline and my doors would close on me anytime I was working on the interior with the door open. After the installation, the door has 3 different positions that will hold the door in place and not close from the weight of the door. I recommend this part for an improved quality of life in a 2013 FRS with 50k miles!
