![]() ![]() ![]() Well I did not blow my engine but I Hooned some on the way to work yesterday. Clutch felt a little weird on the way home. Today headed to work my clutch broke loose in 6th gear on the highway. Looks like I smoked my ACT clutch in 30k miles. Was wondering so I counted my shifts on the way home today. 196 shifts in 19 miles. Got to love Dallas traffic. |

i couldn't count that high in traffic.
but my typical weekend going's on with the car, i'm probably close to 100-200 shifts as well. of course half those are rev-matching and engine braking to slow down to stop lights because it's fun.

Put it in a safe place for a while. Will have time after the holidays to fix.

I have been stacking parts to go through my car before next season. Ordered material for a new splitter, rods and mount from PA, multiple sets of springs for my T2's, clutch, new seat mounts, fresh friction rings. Eyeing tires and a fire system now.

Took the TRD quickshifter kit off last night. I stupidly put it on a couple years ago in combination with the STI short shifter kit. I grew tired of the overly notchy feel and difficulty getting into gear sometimes. I always forget how good the stock shifter is. I do notice some feedback, so I think it's about that time to flush my trans and diff. Especially since I'm pushing 85k miles.
