The city I live has a bunch of dumb rules and permits, they just don't really enforce them. To roof, side, paint, ect. a house you are supposed to get what they call a "level 1" permit which requires you submit what you are doing. They don't inspect or anything and it's free. They just want to know what you are doing for some reason. I have openly broke many of these and haven't received a notice and I am 2 blocks from city hall(knocks on wood). My coworker installed a prefab shed on his lot and he found out city ordinance is that any shed or outbuilding can not be any farther forward then the most rearward part of the house on the lot. It's to hide it, but he lives on a corner lot and he put the shed on the main street side and that is okay
They have a nuisance vehicles rule but as long as tags are good they don't care.

One of the best permit ones I ever saw was San Jose and water heaters. You go on line and pay for your permit. No inspections, nothing, just pay. Then it says, if you replaced a water heater in the past and didn't pay, you can pay now. Right.

Today I learned that I can't be bothered with the stupid gadgets that I have in my new car.. I have a trillion options for the interior mood lighting, I can switch the dash to display a mind boggling array of information.. All I want is a simple Speedo, rev counter and a fucking trip counter that I can get to easily without going through the owner's manual..

More specifically, don't know how to prepare for a penalty shootout.

My guess is an Audi of some kind, their digital dash is basically a smartphone itself with amount of crap you can customize and display on it.......and thats on top of having the infotainment system that is also like a smartphone.
So 2 smartphones in your car! |

Well, it also has a stupidly long name. So a deep breath, and here we go. A Mercedes A250e AMG Line Executive, the saloon version.
I was originally thinking about going full electric but bottled it.. I then ordered my car, it took an age to arrive due to the worldwide chip shortage. In that time I was kicking myself for not going full electric.. I'm kinda enjoying the electric mode but the range is circa 40miles which is not long enough.. |

Today I learned that I can take an entire work week of back to back calls before I start laughing crazily and making strange noises at the phone before I answer it so my freakout doesn't leak into my support.

TIL how good it feels to work the system in using PTO strategically. I requested 4 days off and ended up getting 8 simply because I request at the right time due to a DONSA and the connecting holidays.
