Today i learned that replacing the 12V battery in a modern German made car requires you to "register" the battery to the ECU...... otherwise the car will utilize the battery charge unevenly and the battery will not last nearly as long as it should....
I dont think its EXCLUSIVELY A german thing but it seems to be an overengineered thing of most german makes.

Instead of just dropping in a new battery and be on your way......

I used to give blood regularly, until I passed all the way out two times in a row during the process. Nope, not anymore. I'll get my OJ and cookies elsewhere.
