To say there is no performance advantage on the FRS with a manual is flat out crazy.
From what I read 0-60 is 7.3 for 6MT and 8.0 for 6AT. 1/4mi is 15.6 for 6MT and 16.1 6AT. Every tenth of a second on a 1/4 mile time is roughly a car length at the end of the race. A 6MT would look like it destroyed the Auto by 5 cars. It's not like they are using a SMG tranny like the bmws do. Where it is basically real manual that is operated mechanically via paddles and a computer. In those cars there is no performance advantage, in fact the SMG can actually shift faster than a human with a stick. The problem is you feel "disconnected" with the driving experience. |

IS there anyway to keep the long term MPG that we've been keeping, but also measure the MPG just for the next trip?

Motortrend has it at 6.2 with a 14.8 quarter for the MT. It's tough to find a magazine test of the auto, apparently nobody thinks anyone will buy one. |

It is technically a "sports car" (even if it is entry-level). Not to hate on AT owners (there's nothing wrong with your decision), but it's more likely that owners will prefer to row their own.

The trick is you have to use the same exact gas pump and stop filling at one click. Different stations and even different pumps at the same station can have different fill rates which will affect the off click. If you don't use teh same pump gallons / miles only really starts to become close to accurate if you average multiple tank fulls. (the more the better) |

To back up my break in statement - here are the dynos for my car at 300 miles (day before drag races) and at 2700 miles. I picked up quite a bit of power.

Hopefully, the 3.5K to 4.5K RPM power dip can be "fixed" as well. Interested to see how people are tackling that. |

I have the AT and I was averaging 26.7 MPG for the first 2500 miles and then I put on my light weight crank pulley and I've lost 2.2 mpg?! WTF? I love the AT, drove the manual and the auto many times. I felt like the AT was quicker? I've had only MT sports cars, this felt so different than any AT ive ever driven. Still times I wish I got the MT though!

On my way to Colorado I was getting steady 30-32 MPG on the highway. In the city I average about 26-27
